✬✬✬"...lla." A faint voice was calling to me. "...lla!"
"5 more minutes, please." I groaned while turning my body away from the voice.
"Stella, wake up!" It was my father's voice. "Wake up or you'll miss the meteor shower!" He gently shook me, turning my onto my back.
I gasped, my eyes shot open to see a millions stars passing before them. I sat up and looked up into the sky in awe.
'I've never seen so many shooting stars!' I thought. I couldn't stop smiling at the sight. Letting out a squeal, I grabbed my father's arm and started shaking him out of excitement. "Father, look at all the shooting stars!!"
He rolled his eyes at me and shook his head. "I see them, Stella. I am the one that showed you!" He chuckled while placing his arm around my shoulders. "Don't forget to make a wish, like my mother always told me, 'Wish upon a star and surely your heart's desires will come true."
I smiled and gave a small nod. First looking up into the sky, I then closed my eyes and clasped my hands together. "I wish Mother was here to see this..."
My father gave me a small smile and pulled me into a hug. "I wish she was here too..." He said softly. His phone suddenly buzzed, making both of us jump. We both laughed and watched my father take his phone out of his pocket. On the screen was my mother FaceTming us. I looked at y father with a shocked expression. He just shrugged, giving me an 'I told you so' look and said, "Wish upon a star and surely your heart's desires will come true."

I felt someone poking my forehead multiple times. I groaned as I tried to slap their hand away. "Stella, you idiot! Wake up already!" Ignoring the boy, I continued to keep my eyes closed. '5 more minutes...' I thought to myself.
The boy huffed and straightened himself in his desk. "Don't blame me if you get in trouble again," he said under his breath.
I chuckled softly at him. I NEVER get in trouble. Drifting back to sleep, students where taking their seats as the bell rang.
Class is always a bore. It feels like I'm never truly learning anything to actually survive in the real world. Pythagorean Theorem, French Revolution, the Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. I'm looking forward to the day I'll actually need any of those.
I sighed to myself, letting my body relax as I heard the intercom come on to start the pledge as usual. I just continued to sleep.
After the announcements were done, there was a soft but fast clicking sound coming towards me, knowing who it was though, I kept my head down.
All of a sudden, something huge dropped onto my desk right near my ear, making my body shake. I jumped out of my desk, hitting my knee in the process. I bit my bottom lip trying not to scream from agony. Falling to the ground while holding my knee, I look up to see my teacher....as well as my sister, glaring down at me.
"You should be old enough to know to sleep at home instead of school." She crossed her arms, giving me a disappointed look.
I rolled my eyes then looked straight into her eyes. "And you should be old enough to have your own home instead of living with your parents."
"You do know I'm in charge of your grades, right?" My sister remarked.
Copying her tone of voice, I rebutted, "You do know you would be stuck with me for another year if you fail me, right?" I mentally gave myself a high five when I saw her shiver at the thought of her younger sister being with her again as well as having the class laugh. I am still in my sophomore year of high school, so either way she would ave to deal with me till I go off to college.
My sister let out a sigh of defeat. She then turned on her heels, walking up to the front of the classroom. She proceeded to sit at her desk, took one last look at me, and hit her head on her desk. "I'm done with this class! Especially you, Stella!" she mumbled. "Do whatever the hell you brats want."
The class cheered and practically all of them whipped out their cellphones to tell their friends that they had a free class period.
I heard a groan from the boy sitting in front of me. Looking up to him, he shook his head before resting it in his hand. "You know, I don't know if I should praise you for being a smart mouth or if I should be scolding you right now." He looked down at me as I started giving him the typical puppy dog face. He grimaced the the sight then looked away. "Just be happy I have a crap ton of questions left in that Algebra packet due next period."
I stood up with a grin while looking at the boy. "You've been saying that for years, Asher. I think it's about time you just start worshiping the ground I walk on. Look at all the joy I bring!" I threw my arms into the air giving him a triumphant smile. And, as if it were on que, someone threw a paper ball at my face, making my eye twitch from them ruining the moment.
Asher bit his bottom lip, refraining to laugh. "Yeah," he let out a chuckle, "you bring so much joy that even paper balls start flying towards you."
I huffed and scanned the room for whoever threw the paper, only to see Evan asleep on his desk. 'Oh, so HE can sleep but I can't. I see how it is, Sophie." I thought to myself. Growling softly, I walked over to Evan, turning around and then fell backwards, putting all of my dead weight on him.
He groaned and tried to push me off. "Get off you fat-ass..."
"Me?! You're calling ME the fat-ass?! Evan, you weigh more than me!"
The boy sat up with no effort, causing me to fall onto the floor once again. He glared at me and said, "It's called being a guy, with muscles, and is taller than a shrimp like you." I gave him a hurt look, making it seem like I was about to cry.
He winced as he looked at me. "S-sorry....I didn't mean that," he said softly and ruffled my hair like he always does.
Rolling my eyes, I stood and flicked his forehead. "I'm not that butt hurt over you of all people calling me short." I gave him a quick smile before walking back to my seat.
Glancing back at Evan, he just shrugged and went back to sleep. Asher on the other hand was scribbling away, writing formulas as well as pressing buttons on his calculator rapidly.
These two have been there with me ever since I could remember. I'm lucky to have them, honestly I don't even know what I would do without them. Asher keeps me on track with pretty much everything. From schoolwork to soccer practice, to even telling me to get changed into pj's. And then there's Evan. Evan was the one to break my shell. He was the first person to befriend me and was always there when I needed him the most, Asher is the same, but Evan has always been there since the beginning.
I shook my head as memories from the past were coming back to me. I laid my head down on my desk and started drifting off to sleep.

??? POV
I stood there quietly in front of the school, just staring at it, taking in all of it's details. 'I never thought I would be back here...' I thought to myself.
Adjusting my blue jacket, I took a deep breath in and breathed out. "Let's get this job over with...I doubt anything exciting will happen tomorrow."
Turning to the right, I walked away from the school. That place, Mountainridge High School, will be my school starting tomorrow. It's not like I'm there to actually learn...I just need to get a troublesome job done.
Before passing the walls that surround the prison, I took my knife out to cut my index and middle finger. I watched the crimson liquid flow out before placing my fingers against the wall. I drew a simple ":)" on it.
Sighing, I then proceeded on my way. Not turning to look back at the hell I'll have to deal with.
