Stella's POV

I shoved my belongings into my bag one by one, not really caring to make it neat. I picked up one of the souvenirs and let out a soft laugh, remembering the first night with everyone. I was dragging them around town and Asher saw these bracelets and insisted on buying them for us, he even got one for Helen despite the two weren't the best of friends. 'Ahh, bittersweet memories...' I thought as I slipped the bracelet onto my wrist.

I turned around when I heard a knock on the door to see Asher with a saddened smile, leaning against the doorway. "You ready?" His voice was low, as if we were never going to see each other again.

I glanced at my bed that was full of clothes and souvenirs that I still had to pack. "Yeah, totally ready." I chuckled and Asher joined in with a chuckle of his own. "You sure you don't want to head back in town with all of us?"

He gave me another sad smile and shook his head. "As much as I'd love to, I still have to clean up the beach house."

"Then let us-"

"No, Stell," he cut me off. Asher ran his fingers through his messy hair before walking over to me. "I know you want to help and delay the inevitable, but I'd rather not have our last moments be us cleaning a house."

"Geez, you're so stubborn," I grumbled.

"It's for my own good, Starlight."

I froze and just stared at him. He used that nickname. "Uh, yeah..." I shifted uncomfortably and Asher raised an eyebrow.

"Don't tell me you forgot I was the one that gave you that nickname. Come on, Stell," he nudged me and I continued to stare. Asher let out a sigh and sat on the edge of the bed. "It was back in elementary school and the three of us were outside looking at the stars since you pestered us nonstop, and that was when you said that you're name means 'Star'," he let out a soft chuckle. "Right when you said that a shooting star passed by and Evan being Evan, he just happened to say 'Light' after it passed and I just mashed the two words together and, tada. Lame isn't it?"

I laughed a bit, the memory slowly started to come back to me. "You mean we made that nickname."

"I suppose so," he smiled and stood, stretching his arms in the air. "Well, I'll let you get back to packing. Er, cramming."

I nodded and looked at the rest of my belongings and frowned. I suddenly felt too lazy to pack. "Let's go do something! I don't feel like doing this right now." I grabbed Asher's arm and dragged him out of the room and down the stairs. To my surprise Evan and Helen were already down there.

"Already knew you would do this," Evan sighed.

"Hehe, you know me well."

"What exactly are we going to do?" Asher crossed his arms over his chest.

"Uh," Helen joined in and we all turned to him and his voice practically disappeared. "I have a polaroid camera, I could take pictures for you guys or something..."
