The first murder had gone and past so quick. Athena had seemed like a nice girl, but not as nice as I had thought. I sucked at reading people though, so I guess it wasn't a surprise that I was wrong.
There had been a couple of people who hadn't spoken at all during the trial, Angela, I don't recall Axel speaking, or Wyatt. Maybe they were a little more sensitive than the rest of us.
I was on my computer. Playing this awesome game I had downloaded. You ran around collecting stuff and knifing people. Probably not the best game to play while in a murder hotel, but ya know, whatever.
There was a knock at my door. I paused the game, then closed my laptop. The human knocked again. I hurried my way over and opened the door, I found Pierce standing there.
"May I come in?"
"I guess, sure." I let him in. He saw down on my bed. He looked disturbed.
"What's bugging you?"
He sighed, "Athena. She didn't look guilty. When she died she seemed to make eye contact with someone, and she looked like she knew that person was the killer. I tried to find who it was, but I couldn't."
I thought about it. It would definitely explain why I had felt so bad about killing her, "Wouldn't that mean the actual murderer would be released from this place soon?"
"That's what I thought. I don't think so. I think the murderer is happy here. As a guess, but there was something else I meant to ask you."
"That's a possibility. If it wasn't her, how did her boot prints get there?"
"I don't know. That's why I think she knew the real culprit, but didn't speak up. She might have let them borrow her boots."
Whatever that was in the past, "what was it that you wanted to ask me?"
He stood and walked over to me, he got kind of close, so I backed up till I was in the corner, "What do you feel towards me?" he said.
That caught me off guard. I thought of him as a friend. Nothing more, nothing less, "I mean you're my friend, that's what you are to me."
He sighed, "I apologize for this, but I lost a gamble with Violet, and she said I either had to screw her, or send her some dirty pics of me and another girl."
"Does that mean you're?" I asked him.
"No I couldn't do that to you, but if I was going to you'd be my first choice."
Wow. Way to make this awkward
Then he leaned down and gently kissed me. No more than a kiss.
He was a good guy, so I kissed him back. His lips were soft, and as a bonus he smelled great. Then I realized something.
I pulled away "How can we be doing this? This is murder hotel."
He sighed, "Yeah, it is, but we have to do something other than just sitting around waiting for the next murder to happen."
I nodded a little, "I guess. I wouldn't think of dating as the first thing to do though."
He chuckled a little, "Dating isn't the right word, more of a, friends with benefits kinda situation, you know."
Wow, so he was gonna kiss me, then totally deny dating me, ok, way to be a douche bag.
