Mario and Luigi's Vacation

Chapter 13: A Triumphant Return

        Mouth stuffed, Luigi decided to go back to their hotel room, with Mario close behind. "Luigi," Mario said. He sounded sad.

"What is it, big bro?" Luigi pondered.

"O-Our vacation ends tomorrow."

"Oh no! Darn King Boo, wasting our vacation!"

"I just guess the world doesn't want us to have a vacation."

"Mario!" Luigi slapped his brother, "You pessimist! We still have today to finish our vacation, and you're a great hero! You don't need a vacation to have fun!"

"Ow... but you're right. Thanks bro," Mario said as he whacked his brother.

"OUCH!" Luigi yelled. "Karma," Mario replied.

Mario and Luigi decided to revisit the beach. But all of a sudden, Luigi saw pink, frilly, bright braids attached to a young Toadette. Yes! It was Tessa! "Tessa!" He said as he ran to her.

"Luigi!" Tessa squealed. She immediately dropped her shovel and hugged him. Soon, a kid who looked a little older than her came over. He was also a Toad. "This is my big brother, Cody!" Tessa said to Luigi. But soon her smile faded. "Who's that?" She said as she pointed to Mario, who was standing right next to Luigi.

"That's my older brother, Mario," Luigi said, "He's not much older, 'cuz he's my twin."

"Cool!" Tessa said, as her smile instantly came back.

"Tessa, Cody, where are you?" The four turned around and saw a Toadette women staring at them. Then she instantly gasped. "Tessa, is this the boy you were talking about?" Walking over to Luigi.

"Yes, mama."

"How sweet. But we must going. It's lunch time."

"Bye, Luigi!" Tessa said. Cody mumbled something. He didn't seem like a guy that was so positive.

"Then, once Luigi said goodbye and they were out of view, Mario whispered, "What's up with Cody?"

Luigi nudged him. "Be nice."

"Right..."
