"Please, Alex? Just this once..." I made my pouty face at him-I know it's his weakness. He sighed and let out a chuckle. "Okay, okay. Let's go." I jumped up off the couch excitedly, grabbed his hand, and dragged him to the car. I wanted to go shopping at the mall with my boyfriend Alex, but he HATED shopping. Luckily, I was able to convince him. I loved him like crazy, but we had only been dating for 8 months. I didn't want to rush anything. "You're lucky I like you, Y/N." He shook his head before getting into the driver's seat. "Yes. Yes I am." He looked up at me and smiled, kissing my nose ever so lightly. "Alright, let's go then. The sooner we get there, the sooner we leave." I giggled as he started the car and pulled out of the driveway. He held my hand and blasted music, keeping the windows open as we both screamed the lyrics to passersby. When a slower song came on, I stopped yelling and simply listened to Alex sing. His voice was angelic; whenever he sings me to sleep I have the best dreams, imagining him and I in perfect scenarios. When we reached the mall, Alex got out of the car slowly. I knew he was doing it on purpose. "Come onnn babe, no time to waste!" "You sound like an impatient 5-year-old, he replied, shutting the door of the car. "Hey!" I went to go push him, but he grabbed me around the waist. "It's cute though. You're cute." My lips curved into a smirk as he kissed me. He held out his hand and we walked together into the stores. We started with very girly stores, like delias and Charlotte Russe and MAC. He groaned every time we stopped. "Babe, so we HAVE to go in there?" "Who sounds like the 5-year-old now, Alex?" I laughed and he couldn't help but laugh along with me. He was a good sport though, telling me what looked good and what looked better. He never said anything didn't look good, because he thinks "you look beautiful no matter what you're wearing." Eventually we got to stores where he could shop too. We stepped into JC Penney, and I immediately went to look at clothes. He rolled his eyes and followed me. I got distracted looking at a nice shirt, and turned around to ask his opinion. "Alex, what about thi-" He was nowhere to be found. "...Alex?" I started to walk faster, getting a bit frantic. How do you lose your boyfriend in the mall in a matter of five minutes? Finally I decided to call him, realizing he wasn't in this store. No answer. I walked out of JC Penney, noticing a small jewelry store nearby. I walked past slowly when I saw the perfect boy at the register in the back. I ran into the store. "There you are babe!" He jumped and stepped to the side, blocking whatever it was that he was buying. "Alex, what are you doing?" "...Nothing." I tried to look around him, but I was too short and it was already in a bag. "I'm just buying something for you." I looked at him skeptically. He smiled at me and opened the bag, walking away from the register and grabbing my hand. "I was hoping for a nicer place to do this, but this is as good a time as ever. He opened the long rectangular box, revealing a silver bracelet. the links were small hearts. It had a silver plaque on the front engraved, I love you Y/N. Forever and always. ~Alex
I looked up at him slowly. "It's true, babe. I do love you. With all my heart. And I always wi-" I cut him off with a kiss. "I love you too, Alex." He wrapped his arms around my waist, and I knew I was grinning like an idiot while the love of my life kissed me.
