"Good morning beautiful." You felt a soft kiss on your cheek as your eyes opened slowly. Laying next to you was the familiar boy with light brown hair. You smiled and kissed him back. "Good morning Josh. I guess I fell asleep here again?" "Mhmm. Third time this week." You laughed and sat up to survey the area. It took you a minute to realize you were in Josh's room instead of on the couch in the living room. "Weren't we watching a movie on the couch?" "Yes. But you fell asleep on my lap, so I carried you to my room. I wasn't just going to leave you there." You smiled at him again. "Well, thank you." You gave him another kiss before he helped you out of bed. "I'm going to go make breakfast babe, just come down when you're ready." You heard him walk down the hallway and decided to get ready in the bathroom. Now that you was awake and alone, your mind started to wander. It was the third time you fell asleep at Josh's apartment this week. You comes over a few times every week, and you always stay over at least once per week. It wasn't a big deal to you, considering you and Josh had been dating for over four years now. You knew you were head over heels in love, as was he. You secretly hoped he would ask you to move in with him soon, but you know that Josh is very laid-back and isn't eager to make commitments. So you didn't bother him or rush him, but merely decided that he would ask eventually. When you fixed you hair in a simple ponytail, you walked down the hall to the kitchen. She entered to see Josh cleaning the kitchen, with the table set for two. When he turned and saw you, he smiled an grabbed your hand. "For breakfast, we have French toast-your favorite. Enjoy." He gave you another peck on the cheek as you sat before he took his place next to her. "So what are our plans for today?" You asked as you did every day, knowing very well that he never had a clue as to what to do. You ask as more of a joke than anything else. But when he answered today, you were not ready for the response. "I thought we would go downport today." You sat wide-eye for a moment. "...You actually have a plan? Well, this is new." You smirked at him and he laughed a little. "Don't get used to it, babe. I only thought of it because I knew the weather was nice and I want to go to a new restaurant that opened up there." You jokingly rolled her eyes. "Of course. I should have known it had something to do with food." You guys finished your breakfast and got ready together. "Y/N, why don't you wear a dress today?" "A dress? Why?" Josh looked away quickly. "Well, I don't know. I just think it would be nice." Puzzled, you took a sundress out of the closet-you kept some of your clothes there-and slipped it on. You guys drove downport and started walking on the sidewalks, past all of the little shops. Josh kept one of his hands in his pocket, the other gripping yours the entire time. He looked honestly nervous. "Josh, are you alright?" "Yeah, I'm fine," he replied without even looking at you. You walked an talked for hours, though Josh seemed jumpy the whole time. After a few hours, Josh stopped in his tracks. "I'm hungry. Why don't we go to that restaurant?" "Alright, sounds good to me." Josh dragged you along, determined to get there as quickly as he could. You had to run to keep up and stop yourself from falling over your own two feet. When they finally reached the restaurant, you walked in quietly. "Wait here babe." Josh walked to the man at the desk, who nodded once and grabbed two menus. He walked back to you and allowed you to walk in front of him and follow the host. You were seated at a table for two with a beautiful view of the ocean next to. You both took your seats and immediately began talking. You began to look around at the restaurant, becoming aware of something strange. "Josh, didnt you say this restaurant was new? It looks oddly familiar..." "It must be your imagination, Y/N." But you knew something was up, because Josh looked down at his plate as he said this. Nevertheless, you brushed it off and continued to talk to him. Though the restaurant was packed, you ordered dinner after only a few minutes and received everything quickly. After receiving your food and talking more, You began to gaze out the window. "I see why you chose this restaurant Josh, it's breathtaking." "Not as breathtaking as you, Y/N." You blushed a little and continued to look out the window. "Josh, now you're just flattering me." "No, Y/N. I'm not." You heard a slight tremble in Josh's voice, which caused you to break your gaze out the window to look at Josh. "Babe, what's wrong?" "What's wrong? Nothing. Nothing at all. Everything is perfect, and so are you. I love you Y/N. I love you more than anything in the entire world. You mean everything to me, and it's crazy to think that you still brush it off as me flattering you. It's true, Y/N. And I can prove it to you." As these last words left his mouth, you watched him slowly stand up out of his chair, reach into his pocket, and get down on one knee. "I've wanted to do this since our first date, love. I've been imagining this moment for over four years now." He pulled out a small black box, and opened it slowly to reveal a beautiful diamond ring surrounded by red velvet. "Y/N, will you marry-" You got out of your chair and threw your arms around him before he could even finishing the question. "Yes, Josh Yes, I will." Overcome with joy, he picked you up and spun you around as the people in the restaurant clapped and cheered. With smiles from cheek to cheek, you both shared a happy kiss. As the cheering grew louder, Josh leaned towards you and whispered. "Does this mean you'll actually move in with me now, instead of crashing on my bed every night?" You laughed and whispered back, "If you REALLY want me to..." Josh laughed too, because he knew very well that you were waiting for him to ask. He just wanted to wait for the right time, this moment. The moment that he had been waiting for since he took you to this very same restaurant four years ago.
