I woke up the next morning with a smile on my face. Scott's arms were around me and my head was on his chest. I wanted to stay there forever, but I remembered Austin was still in the other room and I knew I should check on him to see how he was doing.

I tried moving as carefully as I could, but as soon as I sat up, Scott's arms tightened around me and drew me back down to him. He kissed my head with his eyes still closed before he opened them and smiled at me. "Good morning, beautiful," he muttered.

Smiling, I kissed his cheek. "Morning, handsome. We should make sure Austin is doing okay."

Once again, I tried to get up, but he pulled me even closer to him. "Five more minutes. He's fine."

"I can't argue with that," I said as I settled back into him.

We laid there for exactly five more minutes. All the while he was lightly tracing his fingers up and down my back. When the five minutes ended too soon, we got up, got dressed, and went out into the living room where Austin was fast asleep on the couch.

"I told you he was fine," Scott said, matter-of-factly.

"Yeah, yeah alright. Want some coffee?"

I started walking to the kitchen but he caught my wrist, spun me around and kissed me. He held my face after he pulled away and said, "I've been dying to do that. But, I should probably get Austin home."

Stunned, I just stared at him and nodded. "I'll see you later?"

"Of course," he said, picking Austin up and heading out the door.

Dawn came home a few hours later, carrying her luggage and a ton of presents. "Honey, I'm home! Did you miss me?"

I laughed. "Of course I did. How was your Christmas?"

"Good. Crazy, but good. You?"

I couldn't hide my grin. "Good."

She eyed me. "No, no. It was more than good, I can tell. Hold on, I'm throwing this crap in my room and when I come back, you're gonna spill."

I rolled my eyes and waited for her to get back. When she did, she sat down on the couch and I sat in my chair across from her.

"So what happened? Did Scott love his present? Did his family like you? Did your family like him?"

"Can we go with one question at a time please?" I joked. "Yes, he loved his gift, yeah, his family seemed to like me, and my family loved him. Anything else?"

She looked me up and down. "Yeah, there's something you're not telling me. What else happened?"

"What do you mean? Nothing else..."

"Oh my god, you guys did it, didn't you? Finally, I was wondering how long it would take you two!"

I laughed. "Okay, okay, you got me."

She smirked. "I can read you like a book! This is great, you guys finally took it to the next level! I'm so excited!"

I just shook my head at her, not knowing exactly how to respond. Then her smile dropped.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"We have the party tomorrow."

"Yeah..."

"That means we have to clean today."

I sighed. "Yeah."

And so, we started cleaning.
