Ever since that crazy day when Scott asked me to the dinner, I've been freaking out trying to figure out what to wear and what to do with my hair and what to do with my makeup and what jewelry should I wear?
Needless to say, I haven't exactly been with a guy in a while. In high school, I was never really the most outgoing person ever. I was always afraid of talking to people so you can imagine that I didn't exactly have that many boyfriends. I'm not really any different now, I'm still super strange around people that I don't know. Once I warm up to you a little, I get crazy.. but it takes a while.
Anyway, I know that this isn't a date, but it still makes me nervous. Especially because it's Scott Hoying. My high school self would probably pass out if she would have known.
I've been busying myself with essays and reading plans for my students so I wouldn't think about it quite so much.
My Tuesday was made when I got a surprise visit from Shane. He showed up during my free period, carrying coffee and donuts.
He smirked when he walked into my classroom, "I know this is usually a morning thing, but I figured coffee and donuts are always good."
I grinned, taking them from him and hugging him, "They're perfect! Thanks so much!"
"No problem," he said, pulling a chair over to my desk and sitting in it.
"So what are you doing here?"
He shrugged, "Kyle is boring me so I figured I would pay you a visit. How's your life been?"
"You know, the usual. Hormonal teenagers, The Great Gatsby, and I'm going to dinner with Scott on Friday.." I said the last part quickly, seeing if he would catch it or not.
Unfortunately, he shoved a donut in his mouth right before I said that and he started coughing and choking on it. "You're doing what?"
I smiled, "Scott asked me to go to dinner with him on Friday. It's for his work, it's strictly proffesional. It's not a date."
"If it's not a date then why did he ask you?"
"I don't know. I told him that if he ever needed help with anything to let me know and he said that this would help."
He laughed bitterly, "Yeah, that's definitely going to help him."
"Maybe it will! What's wrong with it? You should be happy for me!"
"I never said I wasn't," he snapped.
"Well it definitely doesn't seem like you are! Shane, what's going on? You know you can tell me anything."
He looked like he was about to say something, but decided against it. "Nothing. It's nothing."
The bell rang then and my free period was officially over.
"I guess that's my cue. I'll see you later, Scar," He said. And with that, he left.

"I don't know what his problem is," I told Dawn that night. "He always acts so weird when Scott is mentioned."
She looked at me like I was an idiot, "You seriously have no idea at all why he would act like that?"
"No I don't. What are you talking about?"
"How could you honestly be so blind?! Shane likes you!"
I laughed, "Yeah, that's funny."
She shook her head at me, "No I'm serious! Love is more like it, he always has. You seriously didn't notice?"
"No I didn't because it's not true! You're crazy."
"Fine. Don't believe me, all I'm saying is that he's jealous."
"Well, I don't think so." I said and went into my room.
A/N: sorry this is so short and kinda boring, I just wanted to update because I haven't in a while. I'm sorry it took me so long guys I'm a bad person :(
