"You scared me! What are you doing here?" Chittaphon asked as he clutched his chest to calm his heartbeat. Skye's mouth was still agape.
"I heard music so I came here. ." She trailed off. Chittaphon stared at her from the floor. "I had no idea you were so good at dancing. You're amazing," Skye admitted. Chittaphon smiled, looking down then back up again.
"Thank you," He replied, picking up his water bottle and undoing the cap. He drank almost half of the bottle. "What are you even doing still in school? Shouldn't you be walking home by now?" Chittaphon asked. Skye crossed her arms.
"Well, I'm actually supposed to be meeting Jaehyun," she answered, then she froze. She had completely forgotten about it once she had heard the music. "Jaehyun!" She said again, louder. Chittaphon frowned.
"Why are you meeting him?" He questioned, tilting his head. He was still slightly out of breath.
"We were going to go see a movie," Skye told him truthfully. Chittaphon's stomach felt like it dropped into the pits of hell. Jaehyun is taking her out? He thought in his head. "You can come if you want?" Skye offered. Chittaphon shook his head.
"Uh, no thanks. I need to practice. And I'm sure Jaehyun would prefer it if I didn't come." Chittaphon answered, rolling his sleeves up. The last bit didn't quite register in Skye's mind. She pouted.
"You sure?" She asked again. He nodded with a small smile.
"Go, he'll be waiting." Chittaphon gestured towards the door. Skye sighed. She nodded, waving a goodbye before she left the small room, returning to the hallways she's walked many times before.
Chittaphon mentally kicked himself. Why didn't I go with them? He thought to himself. He sighed, pulling his jumper off over his head with slight anger. He kicked it into the corner of the room, running a hand through his hair. It's not a date though, he tried to convince himself. He sighed again, walking over to his phone on the bench and pressing play on the song once again. This time, his dancing was much more sharp.
"Hey, where were you?" Jaehyun greeted Skye with a smile when she finally made it to the gates. Skye looked around and noticed there was no one else around. Was she really that long?
"Sorry, I ran into Chittaphon. I asked if he wanted to come, but he said no," Skye answered stopping by Jaehyun's side. Jaehyun tensed up at her words, his smile fading.
"You invited him?" He asked again. Skye nodded, confirming. "Oh." He shifted awkwardly, tapping his feet. "He's not coming though?" He questioned. Skye shook her head, confirming his question once again. He licked his lips quickly, nodding his head. "Good," He said, to which Skye frowned and tilted her head at. "as in, good because I wanted it to just be us. I thought we could get to know each other a bit more, you know?" He continued, stuffing his hands in his jean pockets. They started walking.
"Yeah, I get you. It would've been nice if he came though," Skye said. Jaehyun pressed his lips into a thin line.
"We'll have plenty of fun though," He told her, a beaming smile on his face. Skye chuckled.
"I'm sure we will, Jaehyun." Skye nodded, smiling. Jaehyun liked the way she said his name.
They continued walking for a few minutes until they reached the cinema. They didn't speak of much other than their favourite films. When they came to the doors of the cinema, Jaehyun held the door open for Skye. Skye walked through with a curt not of her head.
