Chittaphon dragged out the plastic blue chair in the corner, sitting down whilst removing his bag. He rubbed his tired eyes, then ran a hand through his tousled hair. He thought it felt more like he'd been here for months, not just a day. He heard the door to the classroom open, looking to it to see who had appeared. Skye entered the room, brushing her hair behind her ear. She muttered a curse as she hit her shoulder on the door, to which Chittaphon silently laughed. She made her way over to the corner where he was sat, taking the seat next to him.

"Rough morning?" He asked, a playful smile on his face. Skye sat down, letting out a defeated sigh as she pushed her hair away from her face. Chittaphon took that as a yes, continuing to smile as he faced the front to where Mr. Lloyd now stood. Of course, he wasn't paying attention to what he was saying. He was doodling on his notebook a picture of a rather interesting creature with four arms and three heads. Skye meanwhile watched his hand, admiring how easily he drew the lines without needing to erase any mistakes.

"Mr. Lee?" Mr. Lloyd suddenly inquired. It took a moment for Chittaphon to realize it was indeed himself who was being called upon. He looked up, his hand stopped still on his notebook. Mr. Lloyd stood with his eyebrows raised and his forehead crinkled. "I don't suppose you have an idea?" The teacher further questioned, knowing Chittaphon wasn't paying attention at all. Chittaphon shook his head, murmuring a small 'sorry'. "Do you even know what we're talking about?" Mr. Lloyd asked, almost all of the class turning to look at Chittaphon.

"No, sir." Chittaphon admitted, tilting his head lower.

"I assume you also don't know, Ms. Taylor," Mr. Lloyd said, more as a question. Skye shook her head. Mr. Lloyd shook his head, letting out a sigh. "School mascot. We need one. The school board have decided to ask students for ideas." He explained, taking a seat in front of his seat. He read an email out, which neither Chittaphon nor Skye decided they would listen to. Skye scooted slightly closer to Chittaphon.

"Hey, why don't you try coming up with a mascot idea?" Skye suggested. Chittaphon had to hold back his laughter. Skye returned an offended look. "What? You're good at drawing, and creating. . . things." She said, eyeing the creature he had drawn.

"No, thanks. I think I'll sit out." He told her. She was about to protest before he cut her off. "Besides, I don't know anything about the school. Usually a mascot would represent the school." He defended, shaking his head as he put his notebook back into his bag. Skye let out a defeated sigh. Chittaphon grinned, knowing he'd won. The bell went just as he finished zipping up his bag. "What's first lesson?" He asked Skye as they both stood up. Skye thought for a moment, then groaned.

"P.E," She answered, a pout on her face. Chittaphon was the opposite; a smile on his face. He loved sports. Whether it be basketball or hockey, he was willing to play. Meanwhile Skye thought of P.E. as the equivalent to her worst nightmare. Any activity involving extreme physical movement was a no-no. It's funny, really, how different they are, yet manage to be friends. They made their way out of the classroom, walking in the direction of the gym.

"Hey, didn't you say Jaehyun would be with us for P.E. yesterday?" Chittaphon asked as they turned the corner of the hallway, avoiding a younger pupil who almost ran into them.

"Yeah, he will be." She nodded. As they were approaching the door to the changing rooms, Skye spoke again, "Oh, by the way, I think you're doing basketball this term." She told him, referring to the sport his class would be focusing on for the next few weeks. Chittaphon grinned. Skye noticed the grin, smiling a little herself because his smile was contagious. "I take it you like basketball?" She asked, as she pushed open the door to the changing rooms. Chittaphon nodded, walking through the door behind her. "I guess you'll have fun, then. I'm stuck doing netball," Skye grumbled.
