Putting Up With Each Other

A Memory

I kept driving until I saw the house with a flower garden out in front with trees everywhere.

I looked at Katie who seemed to have been widening her green eyes with such a smile. Then it went back down.

"Katie, were here." I grinned.

She opened the door without a word. I stepped out of the car, and walked out to the lawn.

Katie was already there speechless.

"It's...it's...beautiful!" she said in happiness.

I don't think I have ever seen her smile that much ever since...the incident.

I unlocked the door which led us to a living room with beige sofas, and an 80 in. flat screen tv on the right.

There was a marble kitchen with a bar, and a dining room in the back.

To the left was a lounge with olive green couches, a coffee table, and bookshelves full of books.

In the farther back of that side were stairs that led up to probably our bedroom and bathroom.

The back in the middle was a clear screen door that showed the pool.

Katie was already rushing upstairs. I followed to catch up with her.

We walked into our room, and saw a balcony that showed a view of the backyard pool, with cement lining, some grass area, and statues.

There was a bathroom door outside the bedroom. It had a single shower, sink, and toilet.

Katie's POV*

I loved this place ever since I saw the outside. I thought about how great everything was until I saw only one bed. Oh no. We are not going to.

I decided to keep calm, and ignore Harry. He didn't need to ruin this for me.

We'll just keep our distance, and that should be fine.

I checked my closet to see everything I needed. Thanks Natalie. She had a taste for houses.

Of all the rooms, and places, I loved the balcony. It was perfect to get away from everything, and to think.

I checked my phone to see I got a text from Natalie.

Natalie: Hey! Enjoy the house, my pleasure! Get along with Harry. Tomorrow will be a day of your own to focus on songwriting. Love you! See you soon doll!

Me: Thanks Natalie! I love everything! xoxx

Natalie: Anything for you doll! Have fun! Oh, and I put a little surprise for you out on the pool. Its on top of the pool stairs. Don't worry, it's not wet. I just thought it would make more sense.

Me: Really Natalie! More surprises! I'll see it right now, soon.

Natalie: Okay hon, I gotta go, but I'll talk later! Bye!

Me: See you!

I changed into a pair of charcoal colored shorts, and slipped over a casual white v neck.

I opened the clear screen door, and stepped onto the cement floor. I made my way to the pool, and found the entrance of it. I sat down criss cross. On top of the stairs was a picture of me in a frame when I was five with my mum, and dad in our swimming pool. I was in a pink tube with sky blue floaties on my arms, and a floppy flower pink sun hat. My parent's were behind me touching my shoulder smiling heartily as I was smiling childish with both my cheeks looking full.
