The next time Harry awoke again was quite harshly, he felt a stinging pain across his cheek, causing him to jerk abruptly awake. He was pleased to know that his senses were working; however he didn’t appreciate the condescending laughter that his ears were met with. He daren’t open his eyes, hoping, praying even, that this was one of his nightmares and he’d be blessed enough to wake up next to Louis, his love. The harp stench of sea water was enough for Harry to realise it wasn’t a dream. He’d been kidnapped.
He opened his eyes, met with twenty of so men laughing at the cruel and careless way they were being treated. Harry was sure by the cry of familiar voice behind him that he wasn’t alone. Their voices then became more distant and Harry was being escorted away by what appeared to be the Captain himself. He overheard a conversation or two along the way, basically saying the same thing: the Captain had captured the boy.
Harry was forced to climb stairs before being thrown carelessly into a room against the wooden floor that reeked of alcohol. He winched but didn’t let out any sounds of discomfort, not wanting the Captain to fully enjoy his victory. Harry heard movement around him before the Captain addressed him, not making any motion at the fact that Harry was still on the ground.
“You know,” He began, and Harry looked up from above his eyelashes to witness the Captain in all his glory. He made a note that he found it creepy and disarming when Hook smiled. “I’ve been after you for a very long time, Harry.” He spoke then smiled as if gloating and waiting for an answer.
Harry scoffed and managed to rasp his voice out. “I’m surprised you even know of my name, Captain.” Harry saluted at the end, causing Hook to raise an eyebrow. “You must have connections.” Harry then commented.
“I make it my business to know everything about Louis Tomlinson, know thy enemy, Mr Styles.” Hook grinned.
Harry laughed. “And who did you have to torture to get my last name, Captain?”
Hook blinked twice before responding. “The lovely Niall sends his regards. I’m sure you had no idea at what extent he despises you. Personally, I just think he wants your boyfriend- oh! I’m terribly sorry, ex boyfriend.” Harry tried to tell himself that he was lying to get a reaction from him, but he knew full well what Louis and Niall’s disagreement was about.
He did his best to mask over his facial expressions before replying. “I’m sure you were just waiting in the wing for their argument to be over, am I right? I bet you were stood there, praising what Niall was doing, and telling him that he was doing well by doing it... Where is the lovely Niall now?” Harry mocked, getting a frustrated reaction out of Hook.
“You know, you and Louis Tomlinson are a lot alike. Both arrogant brats.” Hook replied, and Harry laughed at the now obvious way he was trying to get a reaction out of him.
“Oh, this is rich!” Harry almost shouted, laughing. “What did you think would happen after you kidnapped me? Did you think he would come running after me straight away? Is that what you wanted? Or did you just want another little play thing like Katherine?” That was when Harry felt it.
The stinging slap of Captain Hook’s hook right across his cheek, with as much strength as Harry thought the Captain could manage. Harry was quick not to let out any cries of pain, even though he’d never felt pain quite like it. The blood making its way down his neck was enough to know that the hit was going to leave a scar. Before Harry could even utter another word however, he was met with Hook’s hand once again wrapped around his neck. He was pushed against a wall behind him before Hook spoke.
“Don’t you dare mention her name, you hear me?” Hook shouted, centimetres away from Harry’s face. “I did things to her that you wouldn’t even dream of thinking about... But I’m sure that I can show you.” It was then that Harry let out a cry of discomfort. Hook grinned. “No?” Harry shook his head frantically. “I only kept her because of the reaction I gave Louis; imagine what you being here is going to do!” Hook cackled in a menacing tone. “Everything I did to her was Louis Tomlinson’s fault. Imagine... that’s what he has to deal with everyday. How dreadful do you think his reaction is going to be when he finds out that your here?” Hook was about to say more when Harry spotted Niall flying in, followed by two crew members. Hook grinned once more. “Hello Niall.”
