“Did you hear the boy land in the water?” Smee whispers to Hook when everyone is silent. “Cause I didn’t…” Hook gives him a look mixed with disgust and confusion before they both lean down slightly to examine the water. There are no signs of Harry or the Crocodile.
“The beast has swallowed him whole.” Hook states with a slight lower to his voice. He hums and turns slightly to Smee and they both laugh with spite, a terrible sound to endure. Fortunately, there isn’t more than two seconds of this before the ticking of the Crocodile begins again, causing them both to gasp.
The entire crew then go to the side of the ship, screaming curse words in absolute horror. “On the other side!” One screams and they all take the man’s orders, racing to the other side of the ship.
They all pause for a second before a man shouts; “It wants more, Captain!”
Hook grins to himself for a second before turning around and saying with a tone filled with both spite and excitement: “Then let’s give it more.” He looks all the children in the eye. “They will walk the plank!” He screams, influencing the crew members to cheer with disgusting excitement.
The lost children screamed protests and insults at Hook, each one more hilariously rotten than the last. “Silence!” Hook commanded, pointing his Hook at them as a warning, causing everyone on the ship to obey. “Stupid humans,” Hook said and brought his regular hand around Katherine’s neck and pulled her to stand. She only glared at him with a look of disgust. “I think it would symbolize a lot if you were the next to go, don’t you think so love?” Hook spoke to her, grinning when he finished.
“Go to hell.” She spat at him. Hook growled at her before dragging her by the neck over to the plank, ignoring the screams of protest coming from the children. Instead he forced himself to become encouraged by the cheers erupting from the mouths of his stupid crew.
As he dragged Katherine over to the plank however, he stopped due to a certain ticking of an animal that he’d crew to loathe and resent. The ticking however, didn’t come from the sea like usual, oh no, instead it came from the sky above them, causing every eye in that ship to be casting upwards. They scanned the space above them in both confusion and wonder.
Hook dropped Katherine when he saw the shadow of the Crocodile move across his skull and cross bones flag. Katherine landed on the ground with a groan.
“Kill it!” Hook whipped around to face his startled crew members. “Hunt it down! I will not be satisfied until its blood is on your swords.” He ordered them. The crew raced around the ship in a state of panic that one would only describe as hysterical. The ticking increased in volume as Hook went into his room and got out all the weapons he had there presented.
“What’s going on?” Diana shouted at him. “Are you hurt? Where’s the boy?”
Hook groaned at the sound of her voice, having forgotten she was even situated there. “Do yourself a favor, girl. Stay here.” He said and kissed her on her forehead for her benefit. Once he felt as though she was satisfied, he raced back into the ship and handed out weapons to his brainless crew, who they raced far away from him. When he walked past the children to the side opposite to his room, Louis knew that they were definitely out of his line of vision.
Louis lowered himself and Harry (whom he was carrying in a princess hold) to the ground of the ship, and grinned at his friends, who had now stopped yelling. They all gasped and grinned at them both, which made Hook stop in his tracks which caused Louis to immediately panic, his eyes wide with fear. When Hook turned all he saw were the lost children smiling at him quite suspiciously. Louis and Harry both held their breaths from behind the wide wooden pole, of which they were pressed up against. Louis bit his lip when he heard Hook’s boots walk down the steps he was currently on. Hook’s expression remained blank but Louis smirked to himself and brought his chosen weapon of a dagger up to his line of vision.
