"You have a pretty impressive hatchling there." A male voice said. The voice sounded as if he was only a couple of years older than me. I turned around and saw a man in all blue up in the trees like a bird Pokémon. "Who are you?" Ellie asked confused. "My name is Falkner. I'm the Flying type Gym Leader of Violet City." Falkner explained. He jumped down as if to tell me something. "I had recently been challenged by someone from the Alola Region who had that Pokémon with them. Its name is Rowlet. It's a Grass and Flying type Pokémon." Falkner told me. "How did you come across its egg?" Falkner asked. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you." I said. He looked at me as if saying, "Try me." I explained to him about the shadow that caused me to go down due to its screeching and when I got up, the egg was falling. "Why were you two unaffected by the screeching if you were with him?" Falkner asked the girls. They looked at each other nervously and then at me as if asking, "Should we tell him?" "They were unaffected because I am the Legendary Trainer and it was most likely from a Legendary Pokémon." I explained.

Falkner smiled. "I had heard rumors that the Legendary Trainer had come to the Johto Region, but didn't think they were true. Primarily because, I always thought those stories were myths that our parents told us just to make us want to be good people." Falkner said as he held out a hand for me to shake. I shook his hand and he said, "Glad that I can say I actually got to meet a legend. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone who you are." "Thank you. I'm not quite ready to reveal that just yet." I said. "You should probably get on the phone with Prof. Elm or even Prof. Kukui to find out more about Rowlet. You might even be able to find out about the shadow that gave you the egg." Falkner said. Falkner headed back towards Violet City through the trees.

"Do you think we should try going there, William?" Ellie asked. "I'm not sure. The Legendary that gave me Rowlet's egg didn't speak to me. I'm not sure if going to its region is such a good idea if it didn't even pay me that courtesy just yet." I explained nervously. "Shouldn't we at least talk with Prof. Oak just to see what he thinks?" Leaf asked. "Yeah. Let's get to the Pokémon Center and call him." I said. We went to the Pokémon Center and called Prof. Oak to tell him about what happened and ask what he thought. "Very peculiar that a Legendary Pokémon would refuse to speak with you, but give you a gift. Maybe you should go talk with Prof. Kukui to see what he thinks about this." Prof. Oak said. "Professor, if I go without that Legendary paying me respect, it might be dangerous for Leaf and Ellie because it might get territorial and attack me." I said. The girls gave me a stare as if saying, "Do you think you have a choice in us going or not?" Prof. Oak started chuckling when he saw their stares. "Maybe you can try to contact that Legendary and talk with it." Prof. Oak said trying to be helpful. "I don't have its symbol. I never saw the symbol when it came. How would I contact it?" I asked. "What about like how you contacted Mewtwo? You didn't have its symbol until later, but you still talked with it psychically." Ellie said. "Ellie has a point William." Prof. Oak said.

After we ended the call, the girls went to bed and I stayed up for a little bit sitting with Rowlet and thinking about how I might contact that Legendary. "Excuse me, Mr. Hatchett?" Chansey came in and asked. "Yes, that's me. What's going on?" I asked. "You have a phone call downstairs." Chansey told me. I went down stairs and accepted the call. A man with a very dark tan, glasses, a white hat, and a six-pack was on the other end of the line. "Hello?" I asked since I was confused as to why he was calling me. "Hello William, I'm Prof. Kukui. Prof. Oak said for me to contact you." Prof. Kukui said. He sounded like he was around twenty years old. I looked at the clock above me and back at the screen. "Professor, do you know what time it is?" I asked sort of as if asking "Why are you calling me this late?" "It's seven am." Prof. Kukui said as if he had just had coffee. "Professor, its eleven pm here." I said. "Oh, I'm sorry William. I guess I should've checked the time difference for Johto compared to Alola. Anyways, Prof. Oak said that you encountered a Legendary Pokémon from the Alola Region recently. Can you tell me which one it was?" Prof. Kukui asked curiously. "I don't know the name of it. It didn't speak to me. I did see a crescent moon shadow on the ground as it flew past though if that helps." I said.

Prof. Kukui looked puzzled when I said that. "What was Lunala doing in the Johto Region?" He asked himself. "Can you tell me anything about Lunala?" I asked. "Lunala is a Psychic and Ghost type bat like Pokémon. When it flies, it is said to look like a crescent moon. I personally have never seen it, but have heard the legends behind it." Prof. Kukui explained. "If it's a Psychic type, then I should be able to make contact with it. Do you mind staying on the line to watch me as I do this? Just in case you need to have someone go get the girls." I asked. "I don't mind." Prof. Kukui said interested as if he wanted to study me. I sat down and began meditating while opening up a psychic channel. "Lunala, I know you can hear me. Please respond. I only wish to talk." I said through my astral projection once I entered the psychic field. Although I didn't make contact with Lunala, I did make contact with a foreign Legendary. The Legendary looked like a lion with white fur and silver metallic bands along different parts of its body. "Who are you?" I asked. "My name is Solgaleo. I am the other Alola Region Legendary. Lunala is not going to respond to you because of who you are." Solgaleo said. Solgaleo had a very deep voice that boomed all over the astral plane when it spoke.

"Why is that?" I asked."Lunala had a negative run in with a Legendary Trainer many decades ago. Eversince then, Lunala has not accepted any other Legendary Trainer as worthy of itto speak with. I, however, have an undying loyalty to the Legendary Trainer."Solgaleo said as it bowed its head. "Can you explain what happened with thatLegendary Trainer and Lunala?" I asked confused. "I do not know what truthfullyhappened. You would have to find out from Lunala or through your memories."Solgaleo said, as it stood upright again. "The problem with that is, I can'taccess my past lives memories whenever I want. They come randomly." I saiddisappointedly. "In due time, you will learn then. I must go. Give my regardsto Kukui when you return." Solgaleo said cheerfully when he talked about Kukui.I returned to my body and found Prof. Kukui still watching me. "Well, did youfind out anything?" Prof. Kukui asked. "Solgaleo says hi." I said smiling.Prof. Kukui seemed shocked. "I thought you were talking to Lunala.""Apparently, Lunala and one of my past lives didn't have one of the bestrelationships and Lunala doesn't think any Legendary Trainer deserves itsrespect after that. I don't know all the details, but will try to find out soon."I said. "Well, that's a shame. If you find out anything, give me a call." Prof.Kukui said. "Actually Professor, before you go, can I ask you to do somethingfor me?" I asked. He nodded. "I'd like you to do some research into theLegendary Trainer's involvement in Alola in any form you can find and see ifthere might be any clues as to why Lunala doesn't like me." I said. "I'll getsome of my people working on it straight away." Prof. Kukui said. "ThanksProfessor. Have a good day." I said. "Goodnight William." Kukui saidcheerfully.
