I went down to the phone and answered. Hau was on the other line. "Hey Hau, is Leaf doing ok?" I asked. "She woke up a little while ago, but won't let anyone but Lugia talk to her. Lugia won't even tell me what she said." Hau said with a sad tone in his voice. "Can you bring Cyndaquil to the phone?" I asked. Hau seemed confused, but brought Cyndaquil to the phone. "How is she doing little buddy?" I asked. "She is scared and won't stop crying. I don't know what to do to help her." Cyndaquil said. Cyndaquil started crying right there. "Don't worry Cyndaquil, Leaf will be back to her old self in no time at all. I promise you I will help bring her back." I said. "When are you coming here?" Cyndaquil asked. "Ellie and I will leave tonight and come back to the lab to help Leaf get back to her old self." I said. Cyndaquil got really happy and started running back towards Leaf. "What was that about?" Hau asked. "A connection between a partner Pokémon and their trainer. Cyndaquil may be small and emotional, but he would do anything he could for Leaf." I said. Hau and I finished talking about Team Rocket and everything that was going on before we hung up.

I came back upstairs to find Ellie pushing me up against a wall and kissing me. This continued for a few minutes before she finally let me talk after I had to breathe. "We need to leave here tonight to get Leaf back to normal." I said. She realized that it must be serious. "How soon are we leaving?" Ellie asked. "You want me to call Suicune and Raikou now?" I asked. Ellie nodded and we headed outside so my symbols would work. We rode the dogs at top speed back to Prof. Elm's lab. We stopped just outside of New Bark Town to let the dogs return home. When we looked at the lab, we were mortified at what we saw. Team Flare grunts everywhere. Lugia was nowhere to be found, which was a good thing since that meant Lugia already flew away. I looked at Ellie and we both activated our armor and went into stealth mode. I activated the tracker to see if Leaf was still here. She was still at the lab, but I couldn't tell who was with her. "Gengar, I need you to get inside and protect Leaf. Do whatever you have to, just keep her safe. We will deal with the grunts and come in when we get finished." I said telepathically. Gengar flew in and began haunting in order to cause a distraction and keep Leaf safe. I deactivated stealth mode and started punching all of the grunts while I still had the element of surprise. Within a couple of minutes, all of the grunts were knocked out.

We went inside to find Lysandre standing against the wall with Hau tied up and Leaf petrified in her bed. "Legendary Trainer, it's good to see you again." "Let her go and never bother her again Lysandre!" I said while disguising my voice. "Are you really going to act that way with me? Don't you know the relationship between Leaf and I?" Lysandre asked. "You aren't going to throw me off my guard by asking ridiculous questions. I will not say it again, leave now and never return!" I said. My eyes began glowing from my anger. Lysandre started walking towards Leaf. "Haven't you wondered why the Mega Ring that Leaf received from her cousin had a Team Flare analysis drive imbedded in it?" Lysandre sat down on the bed Leaf was laying on and began stroking her hair. I became even angrier with this. I used my telepathy to get Gengar to make Lysandre move, but he activated some device that sent Gengar back to his Pokeball. "You see, Leaf and I are so closely related, you could say that we are family." Lysandre continued. I grew tired of this and lunged at him. I knocked him off the bed and began trying to pin him down. "You know Leaf's mother and father, do you not? Have you ever noticed how her father has the same hair color as I?" Lysandre continued. I head-butted him to knock him out.

"Lugia armor, Hydro Pump!" I screamed as I held Lysandre up to the window. He was shot so far away, I couldn't locate him. Leaf began crying profusely. I realized how I had lost control and snapped back to my senses. "Leaf, are you ok?" I asked after deactivating the armor. "How could he do this to me?" Leaf asked while sobbing. "My own brother trying to torture me like this." I stepped back at this. None of us spoke to one another for a number of days after the incident. I spent most of my days meditating and trying to decide what to do. I didn't let anyone know where I was, not even Ellie. I needed to be alone in order to reconnect to the Vault. I entered the astral plane once again in an attempt to find someone. "Mahi, Callum, anyone! Please someone answer me." I said. I heard nothing for a few minutes. "You don't have to shout, William. We can all hear you." Callum said. I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt with my fist drawn. "I've been calling for three days now and none of you have answered!" I said. "We were all trying to figure out if you had forgotten how to get to the Vault or not." Callum said calmly. "I never knew how to get there in the first place. You guided me there." I said still agitated. Callum began leading me to the Vault. When we got there, I didn't hesitate to call out whom I needed. "I need any Legendary Trainer who dealt with anyone from Leaf's family, specifically Lysandre and Team Flare." Two Legendary Trainers showed up, Callum and one I had never met before.

After speaking withCallum and Jason, I found out how Lysandre was very kind to Leaf when she wasborn, but after an encounter with the legendary King of Kalos, AZ, he becameobsessed with power and came to the mindset of using anyone and anything toreach the goal of Team Flare to make the world "beautiful" again by eliminating everyone whodoes not follow their standards. When I returned from the Astral Plane, Lugiawas sitting in front of me. "You could've contacted me from there." I saidslightly annoyed. "Yes, but someone specifically asked me to come see you tomake sure you were ok." Lugia said sympathetically. "Ellie should know that Iwouldn't die on her if I disappeared." "She's more worried about you overexhausting yourself. How often do you try to go there?" Lugia asked worriedly.I sat and counted. "Five times a day, for a week straight now." I said unsure.Lugia looked at me with a look as if saying, "You should know better." "Don'teven start. You're giving me the same look they give me. It's not like I doeach of them straight after the other. I regain my strength in between thesessions." I said very angry now. "Who have you had to talk to in the physical plane?"Lugia asked. "Croconaw, Aries, and Pidgeot." I said. "You need to go back.Ellie, Hau, and Leaf need you back there. Leaf has felt terrible and needs tosay something to all of you and has been waiting for you to return." Lugia said."Fine. But I'm too tired to fly myself." I said. Lugia picked me up and flew meback.
