Chapter 11: The Final Blast Off

We stop arguing and get back to Azalea Town. When we get to the Pokémon Center, we see Hau with a large tiger with a large ball of fire at its neck. "Hau, what is that?" Ellie asks while frightened. "Oh, this is Torracat. Litten evolved during the battle against Bugsy." Hau says calmly. Torracat walks over to Ellie and nuzzles its head against her leg like it used to. Leaf and I are still not making eye contact whatsoever as Ellie cheers up. We all go to bed after talking about heading towards Goldenrod City in the morning to get the next gym badge. The next morning, we get a call in the Pokémon Center from Alola. Hau's grandfather, Kahuna Hala was calling for Hau. "Hau, have you found the person I sent you to find?" Hala spoke in a deep and scruffy voice. Hau looked confused. "Remember, Tapu Koko wanted you to find the Legendary Trainer." Hala reminded Hau. "Hala, why didn't you bring this up when we were in Alola?" I asked. "Hau was sent to find him. He was supposed to call back when he found the Legendary Trainer." "But gramps, I found him & we got busy with a whole lot of stuff." Hau said. "Where is he? Have you told him of the warning Tapu Koko gave of the hole?" Hala asked. Hau pointed to me with a look as if saying that he forgot the warning.

"What was the warning about & why didn't Tapu Koko seek me out when I was in Alola?" I asked. "Tapu Koko is a fickle Guardian. It doesn't always do what we think is logical. The warning was about a time where other worldly creatures would try to take over the islands of our region. We need you here before that day comes!" "When will that be?" I asked with concern in my voice. "In six months, seven holes will open in the skies for the beasts to enter our world." Hala said. At this point, both I and the girls are looking at Hau wondering how in the world he could have forgotten to tell us this. Hau stands there with a goofy grin like always as if trying to ask for forgiveness. "Does Kukui know about this?" "No. No one else knows aside from the Kahunas." "We will return to Alola after our journey here ends." I said. "I'll need Tapu Koko to talk with me at some point so that I'll know what to expect." Hala nodded & ended the call.

"All this time asking about Alola and you didn't think to bring this up once! When were you going to tell us?" Leaf asked after punching Hau in the arm. I knew she was mad cause I could feel the flames in her eyes even with her back turned to me. "I totally forgot cause of all that we have been doing to keep the region safe." Hau said defensively. "So, we have six months to finish the region gym wise, deal with Team Rocket and get to Alola to save it?" I asked. "I'm so sorry William. I shoulda told you when ya first told me who you were." Hau said apologetically. Ellie placed her hand on my shoulder. "Is it possible?" She asked. "If we don't stop challenging the gyms and work harder than ever to fight and defeat Team Rocket, we could be there theoretically in time." I said. Leaf chimed in, "Five gyms left and tons of research into what Rocket is planning? How can we do that in six months when it took us a year in Kanto?" I activated the helmet of my armor and called Claire. "What research have you come up with?" I asked using my voice modulator. "There is a faint trace of that signal in Goldenrod City's Radio Station." Claire said. "Meet my friends at the station in one hour to investigate." I said.

After I hung up, I looked to Hau and the girls. "Hau, you need to go in & investigate to see if there are any signs of the Rockets there. The girls and I will wait outside for your results as we wait for Claire. Do not engage! If you see any Rockets, run the other way. Understood?" I asked. Hau was disappointed at first, but when he realized I was trusting him with an important mission, he started running without missing a beat. "What are we going to do?" Leaf asked. "Take Claire and destroy Team Rocket once and for all!" I said. Ellie, Leaf and I stepped outside only to find three familiar faces. "Why are you three here?" Ellie asked. "To stop you from finishing you plan." Meowth said. After Jessie & James sent out Arbok and Weezing, I used my powers to have them and Meowth run Jessie & James off. "What happened to never use your vision like that?" Leaf asked in a snarky tone. "We're on a time crunch, unless you forgot. Can't waste time on those three." I said. She just snickered as we headed to the Radio Station. I called Hau just before Claire showed up & found out that there were twenty grunts and four admins inside.

When Claire showed up, she acted very different. "You kids are who the Legendary Trainer told me to work with?" She asked in disgust. "What of it?" Leaf asked, almost clenching a fist. "You kids just try not to fall behind." Claire said as she headed in with a snarky tone. We all had to hold Leaf back to keep her from killing Claire. "William, do something about her attitude or I will!!" Leaf said gritting her teeth. If Leaf's stares could kill, I would have been dead long before now, but most certainly Claire would not have made it into the building. "Just deal with it for now, I'll talk to her when we are finished with this mission." I said trying to keep the peace. We ran in and split up. Ellie came with me, Hau, Leaf and Claire went on their own. We faced a few grunts before getting to the top to face Executive Archer. "So, the kid who beat Giovanni has graced me with his presence in person." Archer spoke with a calm, smooth voice that was worthy of a leadership position, yet he didn't know how to lead. "I beat Giovanni because he was crooked and corrupt. You are no different because of how you are following in the same path that Giovanni led before he was defeated." I said. He threw out a Houndoom in an attempt to stop me. Aries came out on her own with a look of determination and vengeance in her eyes. I could tell that Archer had some part in what happened to Aries's family. "Alright Aries, let's finish this!" I said as we started the battle.

We battled hard againstArcher and Aries fought with so much determination. Claire and the others metup with us as the battle ensued. Aries defeated the Houndoom and Archer seemedshocked. "How can this be? We were supposed to reaffirm Team Rocket forGiovanni's rightful return. How could I have been beaten?" Archer fell to hisknees as he said this. "You fought for the same reasons as Giovanni. Because ofthat, you were beaten by the same person who defeated 'the great Giovanni'." Isaid. I could hear Claire's jaw drop when I said that. Archer and his subordinateswere arrested and taken away. Before we left, Claire stopped us. "What happenedto not engaging? Why didn't you say you took down Team Rocket's boss?" Claireasked as if her entire world had been rocked by someone who should not havebeen able to do what had just occurred. "Would you have believed me if I toldyou?" I asked. "Whatever. As if a kid like you really took down Giovanni. I don'teven know why the Legendary Trainer told me to join you four." Claire saidtalking down to us once again. Hau and I had to tackle Leaf to keep her fromlunging at Claire's throat. The only problem was that we didn't cover Leaf'smouth fast enough. "Why don't you call and ask you ego centric...?" Leaf asked asHau managed to cover her mouth before she could possibly make the situationworse.
