Chapter 2 - The first fight

Chapter 2

The first game of the Grand Magic Games has already started when Ceres came back to the team balcony. „Sent Rufus in, eh?", she said, while sitting down on the stone railings, „This is gonna be fun...".

She laid down, propping her one hand under her head and the other on her hips to properly watch the first game „Hidden". Fairy Tail A sent Gray Fullbuster in, Juvia Lockser from Fairy Tail B, Nullpudding from Raven Tail. From Mermaid Heel Beth Vanderwood, Eve Tilm from Blue Pegasus, Jaeger from Quatro Cerberus and Lyon Vastia from Lamia Scale. The participant for Sabertooth was Rufus Lore, the mystery man of Sabertooth (as Ceres likes to call him).

The game was already starting to get interesting. Except for Ceres, who let out a series of bored yawns. „I find this game awfully tedious. The participants suck...", the blue-haired woman said and laid down onto her back. Sting leaned onto the railings and answered, „Rufus' gonna do something soon. The time's almost up so he should get to the action.". Ceres looked at Sting for a second but instantly turned her gaze to the „battlefield". Rufus was standing on top of a building. Taking all of them out except Nullpudding. Eventually he got defeated too. With that the game ended. The crowd cheered like crazy.

The results were as followed:

1st place Rufus Lore, Sabertooth

2nd place Nullpudding, Raven Tail

3rd place Lyon Vastia, Lamia Scale

4th place Eve Tilm, Blue Pegasus

5th place Beth Vanderwood, Mermaid Heel

6th Jaeger, Quatro Cerberus

7th Juvia Lockser, Fairy Tail Team B

8th Gray Fullbuster, Fairy Tail Team A

„Dammit, I hope Gray isn't too mad about this...", Lucy said, Zeus and Natsu nodded in agreement. „Next time focus a bit more on the important things,will ya?", Gajeel scolded Juvia for going after the Gray doubles. Zelus leaned against the wall looking over to Ceres. „Maybe it isn't a coincidence that her last name is Trancis too. I was once eavesdropping on my father when he talked to his wife. She was mad about something that had to do with his daughter. I was still young so I didn't question it. I wonder if Zeus noticed. I didn't had time to talk to him yet.", he scratched his beard, caught in his thoughts.

Chapati announced the first fighters of the upcoming fight, „For the first round we have Lucy Heartfilia from Fairy Tail A against Ceres Trancis from Sabertooth. I'd like both to enter the ring now.". Ceres sat up and slid down the railings, not even thinking about using the stairs.

A loud gong was to hear when the first round started.

„Just so you know I won'tgo easy on you. I got to win this since our gui-", Lucy got interrupted instantly by a straight punch in the face. Ceres sent out a few more punches before backing off to her previous position.

The crowd was cheering like crazy. „Wow! For 2 amazing ladies this fight got interesting real quick!", Chapati said. Yajima looked quite shocked. Just like the rest of Fairy Tail.

„Stop flapping your gums, bimbo. I don't care who you are, what you want to do or that your guild is complete trash. The only thing important is how I'm going to humiliate you the best way.", Ceres said with a stoic expression and a lot of force in her voice, right hand on her hip. In the other hand she lit a blue shining flame which instantly engulfed her hand.„From the way you look I can see that I won't even need my Fire Drive, not to mention my Dragon Force.".
