Chapter 13 - The Grand Banquet

After what happened after the Grand Magic Games the King decided to throw a huge banquet for everyone who helped.

"Ahh, so much food. This is great!", Zeus exclaimed.

"And the booze is not to shabby too.", his brother laughed.

Both of them looked fairly weird in their blue and green suits. But Erza didn't allow them to look like slobs at this event.

"You guys look really good!", people said when the three Sabertooth members approached.

"Is that Jaynee? She look different.", they whispered around. Jaynee rolled her eyes so far back she could see her brain.

"Hoi!", Sting called out to them, "Where's Natsu? I wanted to drink with him?"

"I'm honestly not even sure if this kid is already allowed to drink...", Jaynee mumbled.

"I don't know where he is. He probably decided to skip this whole thing. Or you gotta ask Lucy. She always knows where Natsu is.", Zelus pointed over at Lucy who was eating something from the buffet.

"I really like your dress, Jaynee.", Wendy came up to them together with Chelia.

"It's not quite a dress. More like armor.", she corrected.

"That... is armor?", her brothers asked.

Their confusion was justified. Jaynee was wearing a short white dress that got longer on the back. It was covered in silver roses and ruffles. There have been small metal-elements which are probably the armor part of the whole outfit around her waist, left thigh and wrists. On her feet she was wearing metal boots with a dangerously high heel. Even though the combination of dress and boots seemed weird it looked quite nice. Her dark purple hair was pinned up in a pony tail. Through the significatnly lenght of her hair the pony tail ended at her coccyx. She wore a silver tiara on her forehead with a turquoise-light blue jewel in it.

"That's the Light Dragon Slayer Amor.", she said without any hint of emotions.

"Well, someone's in a good mood today...", Zeus noted.

"Dude, we just lost our mother. Again!", Zelus nodged his brother in the side. 

They started to argue. Once again Jaynee rolled her eyes and whispered something in Rogue's ear before running of to look for a certain someone.

"Hey Lucy.", the adressed woman almost choked on her food in shock.

She backed off a bit from Jaynee.

"Don't be scared. I just wanted to say something.", she looked at the floor.

Lucy's facial expression softened.

"I'm sorry.", she mumbled.

"Ah well. I can't say that it's okay but I forgive you. And congratulations for winning.", she smiled and hugged her.

That threw Jaynee totally of balance.

"Hey, woah.", she shrieked, "Wait. We won?"

She was befuddled.

"Of course you did. It was close with 62 to 61 points but yeah. I can understand that you forgot about it. I mean, you and your brother were unconscious for a while.", she explained to her.

"That's why Sting was in such a great mood...", Jaynee put her hand against her chin.

Then someone bumped into her.

"Oi, watch out where ya stepping!", she yelled.

"Watch out where *hics* you're standing.", it was Kagura. And she was completely wasted.

"Geez, you smell like a brewery.", she puffed.

Lucy ran off to somewhere since she knew that this wouldn't have a good ending.

"Well, at least I can have *hics* fun.", Kagura snorted.

"Oh yeah? I bet I can take more than you. After all you're already totally buzzed.", she challenged.

"In your dreams, looser.", now things were going down.

~A bit later...~

"By the way... has anyone seen Jaynee?", Sting asked.

"I don-- *hics* I don't even know man...", Zeus was laying someone in a chair with a bottle of beer. His presumably 10th or so.

His brother was literally just laying under the table, chuckling.

"Stiiiiing~~", a certain someone was heard, "Rogue~~!"

"Oh no...", Rogue had a forebonding of who this is.

Jaynee came running, or what counted as running in this condition, across the room and jumped on Rogue's back.

"Piggyback!", she yelled when Rogue tried to get her down from his back.

"Holy crap. I've never seen Jaynee drunk. Not even tipsy. I didn't even know this woman was able to get drunk!", Sting was highly confused.

Eventually Rogue got the drunk woman off his back. She was now sitting on the floor, fiddling around with her hair.

"Okay, now she's somewhat occupied. What should we do with her? We can't just drop her off at her brother since they are totally wasted as well.", the Shadow Dragon Slayer asked his friend.

"How about we just put her under the table?", Lector suggested.

"Nah. She's still conscious so she'll get up again and run around.", Sting said when Jaynee shot up and wrapped her arms around his waist. She was know somewhat hanging like a little child on Sting. She giggled like a small kid.

"You know, I always wanted more affection from you but wow... this is too much. Even for me.", Sting sighed when he tried to loose her from his waist. But hell, she got the total deathgrip on him.

He was struggling till he saw Yukino. When she tried to run away he spoke up.

"Yukino wait. I'm sorry how we treated you at Sabertooth. But we changed. M'Lady and Jiemma are gone for good. I know we're still at the start but we're now looking out for each other!", he said to her.

Jaynee looked up at her.

"That's nice and I wish you good luck. But I don't think I can join again...", she was slightly nervous.

"She can't!", Kagura made her way through the crowd, "Because she is going to be a part of mermaid heel! After our fight she's at my mercy so she'll join our guild!"

"What?!", came from the Sabertooth guild.

Jaynee lifted herself up and went over to Kagura.

"You can't *hics* just take anyone you *hics* want!", she yelled.

"I can!", she shot back, "And I will!"

"Steal my waifu, I take your lifu!", a heated discussion broke out. They hit their heads together.

"What are you saying?!"

"You know what I'm saying!"

It was like a tennis match. People kept looking at Jaynee and then back at Kagura. Back and forth.

Then suddenly Yukino started crying after so many guilds offered her to join.

"Why're ya *hics* crying?", Jaynee asked when she sneaked up to Sting again.

"You're all just so sweet. I don't even know what to say.", she whined.

Jaynee got over and hugged her. As good as a drunk woman can hug someone.

She seemed to be a little taller than before because she was a head taller than Yukino now.

"Just come back to *hics* Sabertooth. We miss *hics* ya.", Jaynee almost cried as well.

"Okay! I'll join you again.", she nodded and smiled.

After that and Natsu's glorious appearance the evening went along without problems.

Except for one problem. Jaynee was still clinging to her teammates. But when she started to sober up she wasn't that annoying anymore so Sting obviously saw a chance to have body contact without getting slapped.
