Chapter 4 - This is no guild!

„Luckily Sting is out in the game today so he won't pick up a fight when we try to talk to Ceres.", Zelus said to Zeus, while running towards Sabertooths team balcony. They stopped in their tracks when the said woman came along the hallway. „I know you're looking for me.", she muttered staring at the wall. Zeus took a step forward but Zelus held him back. „How do you know?!", he was slightly irritated. Ceres sighed and looked up,„You two idiots were hiding behind a remotely transparent curtain... and your stupid friend busted a whole into one of the walls. Which we had to pay.", she spat, visibly pissed, „I don't have time for your crap now, but we can talk later.". The brothers looked at each other and cheered a bit. „When and where?!", Zeus was totally looking forward to this. „I have what you can call a date this evening and you two can tag along.". „A date?", Zeus thought. He looked at his brother, who nodded in agreement. „We are at the restaurant next to the Mercurius at 7. This is the only chance I give you. And only because I know you've been waiting a long time to tell me something.", she turned around and went back to her platform. Same did the brothers.

„Ceres, this is awful!", Yukino almost fell into Ceres' arms, „Sting is still at the start!"

„I thought he changed his decision when he read the game's name but that was a huge letdown.", Rogue noted.

„I didn't think Sting was so limited that even the bloody name 'Chariots' wouldn't give him the slightest hint.", Ceres sat down on the railings. The game was then over soon.

The fights after that game were a total disaster. For Sabertooth atleast. Yukino fought against Kagura and lost. Both wagered their lives. Now Yukino is at the mercy of Mermaid Heel's strongest member. Before that a long lost sock was destroyed, a bikini contest was held and Quatro Cerberus is now Quatro Puppy for the rest of the games.

Later when everyone was back at their hotels there was a meeting at the Crocus Gardens with the master of Sabertooth. After Sting got scolded the master started his rant about Yukinos loss.

„You're a disgrace to the Sabertooth guild.", Jiemma said with an angry tone.

Ceres was watching the scene with disgust when Jiemma told Yukino to take her clothes off.

„Hold on!", Ceres said and stepped forward to Jiemma, her eyes filled with rage and revulsion.

„First you order her to take off her clothes and then she has to remove her guild crest? You're truly a man without any signs of dignity and grandeur."

Jiemma looked at Ceres with a wrath that could destroy mountains. „Yukino, erase your guild mark and get lost. And you Ceres, get out of my sight!", he sat back down.

Sting and Rogue took her by the arm sand pulled her outside. „Are you completely mental?!", Sting shouted. „She got what she deserved so don't nag about it. No mercy for the meek is motto of this guild. Get along with it or leave.", he continued. Ceres then gave him a slap at it's best.

„This is no guild. This is a alliance of soldiers. Trained to be the best at everything without fail. A guild doesn't work like this. Just because someone doesn't fight up to you standards you have to humiliate them infront of a hundred people?!", she realised how ironic that sounded to herself.

„I've been a long time with Lamia Scale and there we treated our member like family. The complete opposite of this sorry excuse for a guild.", she still wasn't done with her rant.

Sting looked at her outraged for the slap she gave him. His cheek soon turned red. „She's right, I've thought often about if this is the right way we treat our members.", Rogue said to himself.

„You can be lucky that Jiemma didn't kick you out of the guild, I hope you know that.", Sting noted, trying to regain his normal cool attitude.

„It wasn't luck. He would never kick me out of the guild. Not at this time.", she balled her fist, „He knows that he needs me to win this stupid tournament. Without me you would never be able to win this and he is fully aware of that!" She turned around and went away. When she was a few meters away she turned around once more and said, „And Sting, you can stay where you are tonight. I'm going alone. I have other people to meet with."

He didn't say anything. Nobody did. Lector was still shocked over the slap that Ceres gave his best friend. Rogue was somewhat impressed by the courage that Ceres showed against Jiemma. And Frosch, well, she was standing there. Like always.
