I assessed my bags as I looked around the room.
I was pretty annoyed that after I had un packed everything I had to pack it all up again.
Luckily, I pack light.
I shoved my headphones into my pocket as I had a feeling I was going to need them. Also, I shoved my phone- which was now fully charged- into my pocket before hauling my bag down the stairs.
I was the first person up and ready to go so I went through to the small kitchen and prepared myself a bowl of cereal.
I sat down on the dining chair as I ate my breakfast peacefully.
"Hola! Sister," Bear said as he came through the kitchen in his bed shorts (still) and ruffled my hair in the process.
"ugh," I said as I ran my fingers through it annoyed, "morning," I said back as I took another spoonful of the cereal.
Bear looked over at me and narrowed his eyes after he hunted in the cupboards for something.
"yesh," I asked his with as I tried not to let the cereal spew out of my mouth,
"where did you get that?" he asked slyly,
"I found it," I said after swallowing the mouthful,
"where did you find it?" he asked me as he searched under the sink one last time,
"in the kitchen," I said smiling as I knew I was annoying him,
Bear looked at me and sighed, "just tell me," he said annoyed,
"it's in the top cupboard to your left," I said as I finished off my cereal,
"I swear I looked there," he mumbled to himself as he got out a bowl and some milk to make the cereal.
"how come you're not ready yet anyway," I asked Bear came to sit down to eat his breakfast,
he just shrugged as a response and finished his cereal within seconds.
I got up and decided to see what channels featured good programmes around the desolate countryside.
After a few minutes of deciding what to watch, I settles on a morning show because there really was nothing else; I didn't plan on watching cheesy kids shows.
"where did dad go?" Bear asked as he came in from the kitchen after putting his plate away,
"no idea," I said as I sat there bored out of my mind,
"okay," he said as he wandered off downstairs.
I sat there for a few more minutes trying to find if I had any interest in this show at all but it was just an old man ranting about the price of milk and how in the States petrol is cheaper than milk.
God, I was so bored.
The door unlocked and in walked my dad who looked as if he had been up for quite a while,
"where's your brother?" he asked me as he came further in the house,
"upstairs getting ready," I replied with as my head turned back to face the TV,
"he's worse than a girl," he mumbled as he took off his baseball cap and placed it on the coffee table before wandering into the kitchen,
"I got ready before him," I reminded him,
"yeah but you always have done," he replied back and I rolled my eyes.
Bear came rushing down the stairs a few moments later ready and ruffling his hair.

Weekend With The Gods
Short StoryOh, My, God. Outside in the driveway was a beat up, old Volkswagen camper van. It's also blue... And very, VERY bright. Sitting in the driver's seat was our dad, who was gallantly beeping the horn for everyone to hear. I sighed and walked out of the...
