5: you could tell he was scared of his son

The eco car pulled up beside the Land Rover and looked very out of place where it was. The two people who erupted from the car were polar opposites; you could tell.

The boy, Jared young, got out first and his blue eyes scanned the surroundings before giving a small wave over to us. He ruffled his dirty blonde hair before going off to the boot of the car and pulling out a bag which he carried with no trouble. For his age (16) he was very proportional. His height matched very well to his posterior and build. He was wearing a black t-shirt covered with an opened up red flannel and some skinny black jeans with timberland boots.

His father came out of the car and made his way over to us leaving his son to set up the tent and everything heavy.

"hello folks," he said in his northern accent,

all of us teens said hi awkwardly and the adults got into a full blown conversation.

"yeah, that baby gives off almost zero percent emissions into the atmosphere," Marcus explained as he gestured to his eco car,

Claire was impressed but most of us just nodded our head but as much as it was bad for us to, we didn't care as much as he would've hoped. I think Blaze even muttered something about not caring to Bear, which caused Bear to snigger to his remark.

I watched Marcus as he explained how 'interesting' his car was. He had a bit of a receding hairline from his stressful job as a director of the international programme at a large environmental charity that I always forget the name of. Long story short, he almost quit from the stress but realised that if he earned a few more grand he would be able to afford the car that he now does.

Marcus was a lot shorter than his son and punier. He was wearing a grandpa jumper with some khaki trousers. He was considered a stylish parent because he wore thick rimmed black glasses... that's it.

After a few minutes of the parents having a very boring conversation about the economy politics (I've discovered that most adults do this when they meet each other after some time of not seeing each other), Marcus went over to help his son and Clive suggested that Louie and Calvin joined in to be 'useful', which is ironic because Louie was not very strong and kind of stood there unsure of what to do with himself as the others put up the tent. Des looked as though he was going to volunteer Blaze but Blaze shot him a 'please do not get me to do it, I beg you' with a mix of 'you dare volunteer me.'

You could tell Des was a bit scared of Blaze because he nodded when he saw his son's expression.

I just watched as the whole exchange of a no-word conversation. Blaze rolled his sleeves up in relief and I saw the end of one of his tattoos peek through the bottom of the newly positioned sleeve.

Damn. His tattoos were pretty cool. The one I could see was the south point of a compass which was on his bicep. I was told that Des did not approve of the tattoos but was not willing to get them removed off of his son's body. Also, I was told that he had a back tattoo in memory of his Grandma who passed away about 2 years ago and was the first thing he got tattooed.

"who else are we waiting for?" Marcus asked as he came over with Jared trailing behind him with a swagger walk.

"just the William's. they're always late though," Clive stated as he lit the barbeque.

Ah, the Williams. This family consisted of Tom, Angela and their two boys: Harry and Bobby. Harry is 17 I believe and that must mean that Bobby is 14. For as long as I could remember, Tom was controlled by Angela since they first met. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the first day they met, she ordered him to go and do something for her.
