:::Ava Bellemoore:::

"So you saw-" Lydia started to ask, sounding shocked.

"Spirits? Apparently."

"Why?" She bit her lip, "how?"

I shrugged as I leaned back against the couch. "My abilities resolve mainly around death, so I guess it makes sense. But for the how, well, you screamed and-"

"Wait, I made you see ghosts? And grow wings?"

I sighed heavily. "Not exactly. I apparently had those abilities buried, and you just...dug them out, so to speak."

Everyone nodded as if understanding, yet their eyes showed they had a million questions in their head.

"Where were you, anyway?" Malia asked.

"I don't know. Some abandoned building downtown." I answered.

It was silent once again. I sighed and stood up, "Uhm, where's the bathroom?" I asked awkwardly.

Stiles seemed to snap out of his thoughts, "oh right here." He said as he led me down the hall, where we were finally alone for even a couple of seconds. Well, technically not given that most of the pack had enhanced hearing.

"Sorry." I said, looking away.

"Why?"

"All this chaos because of me."

Stiles gave me a half smirk, "I'm still glad you're here."

I smiled at him, and he just gave me a playful wink before walking away.

I chuckled then walked in the small bathroom and sighed heavily.

I leaned against the counter, starring at my reflection. Somehow, I felt like I've changed so much in such little time. And I wasn't sure if I liked it.

Because I left my only living pack members. I haven't really talked to them in so long.

There was a beeping noise in my pocket, I quickly looked at it. It was a text from an unknown number.

Money transferred.

I heaved a sigh and shoved it in my pocket. I killed someone not even an hour ago. I killed someone for Kit and Alice to have their lives, while I go off and...

Die?

I swallowed a lump in my throat then turned the facet on and splashed water in my face. I grabbed the nearest towel and wiped my face, standing up straighter.

I looked at myself in the mirror and my heart jumped. Right behind me, was a translucent white figure of a woman.

I quickly turned around, feeling my heart racing. I was expecting the figure to disappear, but it was still there.

My mouth hung open in shock. My heart was racing so fast it hurt.

The woman smiled at me. Then, as if seeing something behind me, she frowned, her eyes widening and disappeared.

I whipped back around, starting at the mirror. Behind me was a black figure, and somehow I knew it was Death.

She placed a foggy hand on my shoulder. My heart raced faster at the touch, my chest throbbing in pain now.
