15•Rumors or Truth?

The next morning wasn't as great as I expected it to be. I had a severe headache and to make things worse my hair was as horrible as it could ever be.

With a lot of effort, I pulled myself up and squinted to see a glass of water placed on my bedside. The thing that caught my attention, though, was the small folded white piece of paper next to it.

My fingers lingered over it before I picked it up, unfolding it. The writing didn't seem familiar but I could tell it was someone who knew me quite well.

It couldn't have been Natsu or Gray- they had terrible handwriting. Whereas this letter was written in a cute curvy font with black ink.

Y/n, you fell asleep so I carried you back to your place. Don't worry, I didn't try anything ;) I just wanted to thank you for spending the evening with me, you lit up my night like the moon.

-Some perverted friend.

I squeezed the paper in my hand, staring at my white sheets as my mind wandered back to yesterday. The thing that scared me most was that I couldn't remember much of what happened last night. The last thing I could recall was walking out the doors of the guild hall after training.

The note left behind by whoever spent the night with me didn't sound too reassuring. Had I gone drinking? If so, with who?

I didn't have a hangover. Only a very bad headache. But it wasn't like the one I usually got after drinking.

Enough sitting in bed! I looked up at the clock on the wall and gasped when I saw the time.

11:05!

I never slept in. Okay, maybe I did sometimes but I was usually up by 9 am. As fast as I could, I dressed up and  decided to have an early lunch at the guild.

It was a good thing that I didn't have any missions or jobs or training sessions with anyone today.

The sudden heat hit me as I stepped out of the building and made my way back to the guild. The sounds of the mages quarrelling led me to the guild hall without me even having to look up at once.

With my eyes stuck to the ground, I didn't realize I had walked straight into someone.

I mumbled an apology to the lady who frowned at me. She huffed, her bright red lips pouting as she walked away, the sound of her heels clicking faint in the distance.

"Y/n!" I heard a voice call and turned to see Natsu standing outside with Happy flying beside him. His grin- wide as ever- that usually helped wash away any worries didn't work this time. I smiled back anyway, waving as I walked towards the large doors of Fairy Tail.

"I'm surprised you're not inside fighting," I said and patted down his spiky pink hair as I passed by.

He grumbled, following me and said, "I would have been if Gray and Elfman hadn't gone out for work. Even Erza isn't in there!"

"Then who's causing the ruckus this time? Are Jet and Droy fighting for Levy?" I asked with a small smirk but stopped when I saw the bar counter being blocked by a number of girls. My brow furrowed as I saw a familiar blonde amidst all the females and poked Natsu.

"What's going on?" I asked him. He didn't say much, only that he wasn't really interested in them because they weren't going to fight him. He placed his hands behind his head and walked out of the guild, Happy flying after him.

"Why would he do that?" A whiny voice asked, too high-pitched for my liking. Mirajane was having trouble with some girls who sounded pissed and upset at the same time.
