"Hey babe", Garrett answered his phone cheerfully while I snickered. His ringtone for his girlfriend always make me laughed.
"Hey babe", I greeted to the phone when I tried to hear what their conversation. Garrett pushed my head away but I managed to heard the replied from his girlfriend.
"Hey Am!", was her replied. After a minute, Garrett passed the phone to me, said that his girlfriend need to talk to me.
"Hey babe, what's up?", I chirped. Garrett's girlfriend is my best friend. I known Garrett first, then I knew that he waa chasing this girl in the end whose became his girlfriend now. His girlfriend don't mind I'm being close to Garrett. How I know? That's for you to find out.
"Hey, sorry I couldn't join you guys. My family suddenly decided to visit my grandparents. I wish I could be there with you guys", she apologized.
"Nah, it's okay. I get to piss Gar more when you're not here. So it's a bit fun", I said a bit louder for Garrett to hear. He did and glared at me. I stucked my tongue out at him.
Sarah laughed. Oh, I forgot. My best friend AKA Garrett girlfriend named Sarah.
"Oh yeah, are you free tomorrow?", she asked me. I know where this leads to. I stand up and motioned Garrett that I will be outside. Need some privacy for the call. He nodded and I got out of the house.
"Yes", I sighed. "Why are we still doing this?".
"I just want you to move on, Am. I don't want you to still mope over someone", she mumbled. I rubbed my temples as I heard her answer.
I already move on, but that doesn't mean I need to be with someone else. Why no one can understand this?
"Okay, when and where?", I gave in tiredly. I will just do what they want me to do. She filled me in the details for tomorrow blind date. I don't know who he is, but I hope he is not boring.
"Alright, I will go to the date tomorrow. Won't miss it for you", I said sarcastically. But Sarah ignored my sarcasm and cheer me for tomorrow. After a while, she hang up and I about to turn around but frozen in place.
