"Am, are you with us?", I snapped back to reality and saw my bestfriends looked at me. I smiled, embarrassed that I daydreaming again. "Sorry guys, what are you guys talking about again?". They both shook their heads and recap back what they're saying. They were talking about the birthday party. Whose party? I have no idea, but it's someone who related to Garrett.

No matter what my answer is, they both might just drag me to the party. So why bother asking my opinion anyway.

Now, we're on the way to the party. Apparently, it was Garrett's younger brother birthday. So the party was at Garrett's place. I'm not good at chosing presents so I just baked chocolate cupcakes for the party. Might as well I did something for Garrett.

"I don't know why you don't just buy any toys for my brother, Am. You're wasting your energy to bake", Garrett complained when Sarah and I arrived. Well, I did went to the toys shop to find present. But in the end, I'm looking for toys for myself instead. Don't judge me, I still wanna play kids toys.

Oh look, a bouncer with water slides. I'm gonna play that later. Now the guests are gathered at the backyard. Include us. They're doing barbeque while kids enjoy the bouncer. Sarah was talking to Garrett's parents, Garrett was helping to do the barbeque while I'm standing awkwardly. Until my stomach grumbled. That's when I started to check the food out.

I kept picking the food and put on my plate and I don't realized there's someone standing next to me. When I turned to leave, I almost bumped into them. Mumbled a sorry, I left and found a place to eat; dining room. Most of the guests sat outside but I'm not comfortable with it. Thankfully, Garrett's mum, Georgia, allowed me to eat in the dining room.

"Wow, you're so into the food and don't even bother to greet me?", someone chuckled. I looked up with my mouth full to see him. Oh great, not again.

"Yeah, food is more important", I replied with my mouth full. Why should I care about my image anyway? It's just him. He sat next to me and started to eat his food. Isn't this awkward? Not in his dictionary though. I resumed eating while trying not to be affected by his presence.

"- you". Huh? I looked at him. "You said something?", I asked him. He glanced at me and shook his head.

"Tell me, I know you said something", I whined. Curious and me doesn't go well together. I always force someone to tell me, if not, I won't get some good sleep.

"Nothing", was his replied. Okay, that's it. I put down the cutleries and faced him. "Please, tell me", I dragged the 'me' longer. Hey look, where the awkward go?

I heard him sighed before he faced me. He looked like he wanted to say something but he also looked like having hard time to tell me. After a minute, he took deep breath and said it.

"I missed you".
