Alice woke up with the alarm beeping. She got into her hoodie, jeans and all stars and grabbed her backpack. She ran downstairs - yes, stairs in the apartment, don't ask - and flew into the kitchen. "Friday" was playing in the back of her head and she started humming it.
"... gotta get my bowl, gotta have cereal..."
- Good morning, Ali! - A happy Josh greeted Alice and she jumped, her wavy ginger hair falling on her face.
- You scared me! - He laughed at her squeal.
- Sorry! - He walked to the counter to get some coffee. - Slept well?
- Yeah, thanks. You? - He nodded as he sipped his drink. Alice started to swallow her cereal. - Where's Liv?
- She's asleep. - He turned around and leaned on the wall. - Excited for today?
- Hmm? Because it's Friday? - Her mouth was filled with half chewed cereal.
- That too. - He said, grinning. She lifted her eyebrows questioning him. - The new neighbors are moving in today! You know, to that vacant apartment across the hall.
- Ooh, that. Yes. It's nice. But I seriously don't get why you're so excited.
- I like to meet new people. You should do that! - Josh is actually extremely excited.
- What, make friends? You know I can't, I'm too shy for that. And I have to make conversation, that's too much human interaction for me. - She put her bowl in the sink and ran to the bathroom to brush her teeth. - Bye Josh!
- Be home soon! - She heard him scream as she closed the door behind her and ran down the stairs to the street.
She put her earphones on and smiles as Youngblood Hawke started to play.
School was the same crap as always, but at least she could spend a little time with her friends.
Alice managed to get back home soon, like Josh told her to. As she turned the corner of her street, she saw a massive truck and men coming out of it carrying furniture and entering her building.
"Well, I guess the neighbors are here." She thought and sighed as she made her way to the front door.
She wasn't really up to meet new people; she is really shy and stutters a lot. When she first met Josh and Olivia at the orphanage she couldn't speak at all. Part because she was very happy and part because she is socially awkward.
She entered the building and ran upstairs. She was opening the door when she heard a very familiar voice calling her. She instantly froze.
