"None of us are leaving until one of you gets that arrow!" It was 4:30. The team was supposed to be at practice until 4:00 but, right before the clock signaled that 4th hour, Mr. Lightyear shot an arrow at the top of post. He declared that practice would run until one of the players could reach the arrow and take it down.

The boys had tried just about everything. Running, jumping, climbing, shaking the post itself but, no method could get it down. They even tried making a human latter, thinking teamwork was the lesson being taught, but they quickly found it impossible.

"Coach... Can we... At least... Towel down?" Phillip asked, hunched over and panting hard.

"Nope." Mr. Lightyear bluntly responded. "Not until that arrow is in my hands. So quit resting and get moving."

Mulan had overheard this exchange. She leaned over, resting her hands on her knees to hold her weight. 'Towel down...' She pictured what it would be like to rest and change out of these masculine clothes. 'Wait...' She drew a breath in and quickly turned her head to the fence, where red and black towels sporting the school's mascot, Mickey Mouse, were lined up, waiting for the players.

She quickly bolted over to the towels. All the players looked over at her, whining statements like, "Hey, what makes Ping so special" or "Just because you're coaches favorite doesn't mean you get to skip out on drills!"

Mulan didn't care. She simply pulled a towel off of the fence once she had arrived, and turned back around to run back to the post. Once she arrived, the team gave her disgusted looks but, backed away from the post once they saw her heading towards it.

Mulan wrapped the towel around the pole and held onto either end. With all the strength she could muster, she stepped up vertically onto the pole and began to climb, using the towel as assist.

Some members of the team started at her in awe, while some just scoffed and rolled their eyes, determined that her method would fail. At one point, Mulan almost slipped but she caught herself and continued to climb. When she had finally reached the top, she sat on top of the post, pulled the arrow from it, and threw it down in front of Mr. Lightyear. He looked down at the arrow and smiled slyly. "Moral of the story? There is always a way, even if it may not be the obvious choice. Towel down!"

Prince walked over the arrow and picked it up, examining it closely. He looked up at Mulan with disgust before storming off to the locker room. The smile on Mulan's face vanished. What was it going to take to have the team think of her as one of them? She already looked the part, when will she be accepted as the part? She jumped down from the post and began to walk over to the locker rooms but, before she could, Mr. Lightyear stopped her.

"That was impressive, Ping! Really good work! You keep that up, you're sure to be quarterback."

"Thanks, Coach." At least Mr. Lightyear was proud of her. It was a sign her scheme was working. With another pat on the back, Mr. Lightyear sent Mulan off to the locker rooms.

Once she arrived, however, she was greeted with a arrow being throw at her. It nicked her ear before planing itself in the locker just behind her. She heard laughter from deeper into the locker room. She looked up to see everyone patting Charming on the back. "Hey!" Mulan shouted at him in a deep and angry voice. "You could have cut my ear off!"

"That was kind of the point, dude. It's what you should get for making a fool of me and my boys." Charming motioned his hands towards Prince and Phillip.

Mulan sneered. While being a girl in the halls gave her almost zero experience with fighting, it did give her quite a bit of experience with words and gossip. "Ah you're not so tough." She said, waving her hand and turning towards a locker.
