Belle

Belle is standing in front of the boys bathroom. She's about to open the door when she hears the sound of laughter coming from further down the hallway. She backs away and pretends to drink from the water fountain as three boys approach and walk into the bathroom. Once they are inside, Belle pokes her head through the door and listens.

"Hey Beastie." One of the boys say.

"Char. How's life?" The voice was so deep that it must have been Adam's.

"Not bad. Well, not as bad as your's is about to be." Belle then hears the sound of a gasp and water spilling onto the floor. It could only be the sound of a dreaded swirlie. She then hears a flush and the sound of laughter.

"So long." One of the boys says. Belle hears them walking towards the door and quickly rushes back to the water fountain. As the boys walk off, she looks over her shoulder to see who they were. They were handsome and all looked pretty much alike, with brown hair and varsity football jackets. She guessed they were the Prince brothers everyone keeps talking about.

Once they are around the corner and out of sight, Belle walks to the boy's room and, with little hesitation, pushes open the door. As she walks around the stalls, she sees Adam, head under the air dryer, attempting to dry his wet hair. "Hey." She says quietly. "Need any help?"

"No. Just go." He responds, without putting his eyes on Belle.

"Ok." Belle turns to walk out but stops as she thinks of something. Turning back toward Adam, she asks, "Should I call you Beast or Adam? I hear you go by both."

Adam pulls his head out from under the air dryer and, for the first time since she walked in, looks at Belle. "Beast." He responds. "I only let people I trust call me Adam. But I don't trust anyone." With that, he heads toward the door, bumping Belle on the way, leaving her standing in the middle of the boy's room, speechless.
