Meg is sitting on the bleachers after school, bored. She is plotting her revenge on Jane and Tarzan, when the boy next her begins to speak. "Hey. I'm Hercules."

"Like the God?" Meg asks.

"Yeah." Hercules replies with a smile. "I guess you could say that. What's your's?"

"Megara. My friends call me Meg."

"Well, can I call you Meg?" Hercules asks.

Meg rolls her eyes. "I don't think my answer will make much of a difference. You're gonna call me Meg anyway."

Hercules laughs. "How'd you know?"

"I'm pretty good at reading people."

"And what do I say?" He asks.

"Cocky Wonderboy." Meg jokes.

"Not gonna deny that." Hercules says with a smile. "So, I notice a lack of a smile on that pretty little face of yours. Did your friends force you here?"

Taken aback by the hidden compliment, Meg stays silent before saying, "Yeah. You?"

"Yup." Hercules answers. "They say I need to be more 'social.' I don't think so."

"Well if you're always this into over-sharing, than I agree."

"It's usually much worse. But I have a hard time talking to pretty girls."

There it was again. That slightly hidden compliment, but it was still there. To avoid embarrassment, Meg says, "Whatever you say, Wonderboy." She then turns her attention to Mr. Hades, who was now talking.

"Welcome to dance class..."

"Rumor has it he only became instructor so he could keep his job." Hercules whispers into Meg's ear.

"I believe it." Meg whispers back. "He gave me detention last year."

"What for?" Hercules asks.

"I called him a lonely, hotheaded rat then messed up his hair."

"Nice." Hercules holds his hand out for a high five, which Meg gives.

"Ok, partner up!" Mr. Hades shouts. Meg looks around the gym and watches as everyone partners up, except Wonderboy.

"I guess we're partners." Hercules says, holding out his hand.

"Super..." Meg says, shaking his hand.

"Ok!" Mr. Hades shouts once everyone has a partner. "Bonding exercise. Get to know your partner. One of you is gonna say your name, why you joined, your favorite color, your best friend, and a hobby then switch. Go!"

"I'll start, I guess." Hercules says. "I'm Hercules. I joined because my friends say it's fun and I should join a club, my favorite color is orange, my best friend is Navine, and I like to fence."

"I like Wonderboy more than 'Hercules.'" Meg says. "I'll call you that."

Hercules laughs, revealing perfect white teeth. "Ok. You're turn."

"My name is Meg. I joined cause my friend literally wrote my name on the paper, my favorite color is purple, and my best friend is Jane."

"You forgot you're hobby." Hercules mentions.

"I didn't. I don't have one."

"Well, you've gotta have a hobby. What do you like to do when you have nothing to do?"

"I like to sleep." Meg says, sarcastically.

"That's not a hobby. Alright, let's make a bet. If I can find you a hobby by... Let's say homecoming, you have to go with me."

Meg rolls her eyes. "Is this your way of asking me out?"

Hercules cocks his eyebrows, but gives no hint suggesting that he's going to say yes or no. "It's my challenge, take it or leave it."

Meg thinks a minute. "And what if you can't find me one?"

Hercules looks up, thinking. "I'll convince you're friends to take you off the dance team."

Meg laughs. "Yeah right. Once Jane sets her mind on something, you can't change it."

"Well, she wants you to be more social, right? That's why she signed you up? I'd call making a bet with a boy you just met pretty social."

"Fine. Deal." She holds out her hand and Hercules shakes it. "Get ready to talk to Jane."

Hercules laughs. "I don't think so. Get ready to pick out a dress."
