Perfect. That's how you can describe a kiss with Perceus Weinberg. That's the only word that comes to mind. Cliche, I know, but it's true.
Some may say that it was a weird time. But I'd have to argue that. We were talking about the two boys I love most in my life. We were talking about how we are equally happy that they're safe. What would be a better time than that?
"You were going to make a call," he says as we pull apart.
"Right," I respond breathlessly.
I walk over to my phone and call Harry first.
"Hello?" Luna asks on the other end.
"Good morning, Luna."
"Good morning, Hermione, are you ready for us to come get Teddy?"
"Well, yes, but I need to talk to you about something."
I hear her call for Harry on the other end.
"What did Teddy do this time?" Harry asks.
"Now, Honey, don't be rude, maybe he was good this time," Luna says calmly.
"Doubtful, it's Teddy, Love."
"Yeah, I just had to pull him off the wrong side of the railing on the balcony."
"I'll be there in five."
*click*
Suddenly I feel two arms wrap around my waist. I turn around and lean into Percy's chest.
"I hate making these calls."
"I know. I would too. How about we go to the beach today before I leave? Get you to relax a little bit. You deserve it."
"That sounds wonderful."
I make that second call to Blaise and Ginny.
"Oh, I was going to get you cereal. I'm sorry I spaced it."
"It's fine, dear. Take your time."
There's something on his mind, maybe it's just his mother. But I have this gut feeling that there's something he's not telling me.
"Here's your cereal, my man child," I chuckle.
"Thank you, mother," he responds as he rolls his eyes.
He walks over to my kitchen table and sits on the floor while he leans against my chair. What the heck?
"You know, my chairs won't break if you sit on them."
"I know, I just never got to sit on the floor as a child, so I always do when I eat my breakfast. It's my little act of rebellion."
I roll my eyes, "And this is the last morning that you get to for a while. You're crazy."
"I know, but you like it, so its okay."
*pop*
"Well, hello, Hermione. What did my son do this time?" Blaise says once he gets his balance back.
I look down at my feet, "He almost fell off the balcony."
"How? And why is that man sitting on the floor eating cereal?"
"Korrin and Teddy decided to climb over the railing. And that man is Perceus Weinberg, and he's being rebellious."
"Those boy," Blaise shakes his head in disapproval. "Rebellion, eh? Your parents never let you sit on the floor as a child either?"
Percy shakes his head no, "You must be, Blaise? Korrin's father."
"That's me, when I claim the chillin," Blaise responds as he stretches out his hand.
Percy takes it, "Children can be a handful. I used to work in the pediatric section of Saint Mungos, I only lasted a month."
*pop*
"Hey, 'Mione, where is he?" Harry asks as he apparates in.
"In my room."
"I'm so sorry for this, he knows better."
Blaise watches as Harry goes into my room, "He got some last night."
"Blaise Zambini!"
"Sorry, but you know it's true."
"Shouldn't you be in talking to your son? Oh, wait before I forget, I need to tell you something that he said to me last night."
"Did he rat on me?" Blaise asks like he's about to be reprimanded.
"No, he thinks that if Ginny has a baby that you guys will forget about him. You may want to talk to him about it."
"I will. Thanks."
*+*+*
"Well, the kiddos are gone, ready to go to the beach? We have 5 hours before you head out," I ask as I wash up the dishes from breakfast.
"Or we could stay in," he responds with a wink.
"You dirty man, you promised me the beach."
"Sex on the beach could be fun too," he smirks, "we have all morning. Let's have some fun."
"We can have fun at the beach. Go get your swimming stuff and be back here in half hour. Okay?"
"Fine."
*+*+*
We walk along the beach all morning. Playing, talking, swimming occasionally, it's wonderful.
"Would you like some lunch? I packed one for us," Perce asks as we're walking.
"Yes, please."
We stop and he pulls a basket out of his pocket.
"I don't think that's quite big enough for two," I joke.
"Well that's because it needs to be put back to normal size, you goof."
He fixes the basket and pulls everything you could ever need for a picnic out. A blanket, sandwiches, apple slices, even some dessert.
"Percy, this is wonderful. Thank you."
"You're welcome," he responds as he sets everything up. "Well, dig in"
We eat in comfortable silence for a while before he asks, "would you ever want another child?"
"Eventually. I mean, if the right man came around, and I was in love, and I felt like I could raise a family with him, sure. I wouldn't mind more children."
"Children, as in plural? How many?"
"I dont know, I always wanted a big family. Being an only child and all. But I wouldn't want one to be left out, so an even number. Probably, two or four. Would you want any children?"
"Eventually. I never really thought about it. It was always expected of me to have at least one. Just to pass the blood line along. But yet again, I never really thought of getting married until recently."
"Why not?"
"I never met the right girl. One that I could be myself around, or see a future with. Like I can with you."
"Oh, Perce."
"I love you Hermione."
"I love you too, Perceus."
