"Darling, stop," I whisper into Draco's ear as he busies himself with making dinner.
"Korrin and Teddy are getting hungry, I have to finish dinner," he replies without looking at me.
Something inside Draco shattered when we left Malfoy Manor. He's been the shell of the person he normally is. Sure, he's perfectly pleasant and kind while Korrin and T.R. are around, but when it's just us, I can feel the resentment rolling off of him.
He doesn't kiss me as much as he did. He won't hardly touch me or look me in the eye.
"Draco, we need to talk," I state quietly to make sure the boys won't hear.
"We can talk once the boys go to bed," he snaps back quietly. "They don't need to know about everything going on. As far as they know, I'm still Percy."
"You're just going to put it off again, like you have every night," I state.
He rolls his eyes, "I'm trying to be pleasant around your guests, let me finish their food in peace."
"You're not at peace, Draco," I snap.
He turns and I can see the tears swimming in his baby blue eyes. I want to kiss them away. I want to help him make everything okay again, but I know I can't.
Losing his father broke Draco. The strongest man I've ever known, broken because of me. I can never fix that.
He clears his throat, "Boys, dinner is ready," he calls as he turns off the stove.
I watch as the young boys climb into their seats at the table. They continue talking about whatever they were before and I can't help but wonder if they notice the change in Draco. Do they know we're not talking? I hope not.

"Auntie Minny, can we have ice cream?" Korrin asks as he and Teddy watch a movie.
"You guys just finished your dinner, wait a little bit, then we'll see," I respond kindly as I continue looking through my work file.
"That file looks like the ones daddy Harry brings home sometimes. He always gets that weird creasey thing between his eyes brows when he looks at them for too long," Teddy explains with a proud look on his face.
I chuckle, "You're right, he does get a crease there doesn't he."
I glance over as Draco makes his way into the living room and sits down on the other end of the couch.
"You can sit next to me, y'know, I don't bite," I joke.
He glances over, "You're working, and your files are in the way."
"I can move them."
"I'm fine where I am, thank you."

"Are you ever going to talk to me?" I ask when I enter Draco and I' bedroom after putting the boys to bed.
"Talk about what?"
"This funk you've been in since we saw your parents," I state.
He rolls his eyes, "I am not in a funk, just leave it be."
"You've barely talked to me in a week. The boys are starting to notice something's wrong," I explain.
"I just haven't had anything to say. As for the boys, I've been perfectly pleasant to them and there's nothing wrong," he states as he gets into bed.
"I know you blame me."
"Maybe I do."
