If you think I over reacted, you're right. But if you think I'm going to admit it... Well, you're horribly mistaken. My pride is too strong, and I hate it, but that's how it is.
It's been a week since I've seen Percy. I temporarily moved back into my flat after the fight. I know I need to talk to him. I know I need to put my pride to the side for a second and admit that I was wrong. But the humiliation is too strong. How could I over react like that? Why was I so upset?
"Go home."
I jerk back into reality to see Harry standing in my office.
"I can't, I have work to do," I reply nonchalantly.
Harry let's out a humorless chuckle, "No, you have a boyfriend that you need to go home and makeup with."
I clear my throat, "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Fine, since you won't listen to me as a friend, I'm telling you, as your boss, to go home. And don't come back until you have your personal life sorted out enough to focus," the raven haired boy states.
"You can't do that," I snap back.
He raises an eyebrow, "You wanna bet? Because my position says otherwise."
"You're testing my patience, Potter," I sneer.
"Whatever you say, Malfoy," he jests back. "Now, either you gather your things, minus your files, or I call security in and they escort you out and I put up wards to keep you out."
I shoot dangers at him as I grab my purse and coat. There's no point in causing a scene, I'll sneak in for my files later.
"I'll call Weinberg and check if you come back here. I mean it, I don't want you back until you're sorted out," Harry states.
I roll my eyes, "Alright, I get it. I just don't get why it matters so much."
"You're kidding right?"
"No, I'm not. It's none of your business, this is between me and Perceus," I snap.
"It matters because you're my friend and I care about you! And he clearly makes you happy, I could tell, before you even told me, that you guys were fighting. You guys are perfect for each other, and whatever this fight is about can't be important enough to ruin that," Potter rants.
"He doesn't want kids."
"That's what this is about? Really? I figured it'd be worse," Potter laughs.
I scoff, "What could be worse?"
All I get in response is Harry bent over laughing.
"I mean it!"
"I figured he like, I dont know, tried to stick it in the wrong hole or something," Harry laughs.
"Harry James Potter, that is incredibly inappropriate!" I scold. "Not to mention the fact that we haven't yet.."
He sobers up, "You mean..."
"Yup."
"But you live together," Harry states as he racks his brain.
"Who cares. Just because we live together doesn't mean we have to sleep together," I explain.
"But you live together!"
I reason, "That's not important. I have my own room."
"You're completely mental, Hermione Jean Granger. Has anyone ever told you that?"
"You have. Several times."
"You need to go sort this out with him," Harry pesters.
"I will when I'm ready," I state.
He rolls his eyes, "You will before you return to work."
"How long do I have?" I inquire.
He laughs, "Depends on how long you want to go without a paycheck." He turns to leave my office, "So I'll see you on Monday. No sooner, got it?"
"That's a whole week!"
"Well noted," he states as he leaves.
