Darkness All Over

Chapter 5 ( Lorencia's POV)

The way my sister was looking at that boy was so cute but that surprised me because never in my whole life had I ever seen Lilisa attracted to a boy once. The look she had on her face was what surprised me. Adoration. That's what the look was.

My oh my. If only Emily was here, we would have celebrated the fact that Lilisa was not a tomboy. Gosh, I really am missing Emily. Her humour is needed in this situation.

Laying on the bed in the room I had been provided I wondered the day we had first met Emily.

She was that shy new girl in fifth grade that had been bullied that day because she was a skinny kid and had bruises that covered the length of her arm.

Lilisa and I had seen her run into the bathroom crying during recess. We talked and soon became friends. It took us long to break down her barb covered walls by eventually gaining her trust. Turned out her father was abusing her under the influence of alcohol due to the death of his wife from breast cancer. Years later her father disappeared and never came back, since then her aunt took full custody of her who was really kind.

What was she doing now? Is she missing us? Did she tell our parents of what happened?

I hope she was alright.

I sat up in bed and looked around the room for the first time, it was exactly the same as Jordan's but the only difference was the attached bathroom on the left side of the room. It was a simple charcoal coloured bathroom. My sister got an identical room.

I got up from the bed and walked towards the door and twisted the knob to walk out into the corridor to go to Lilisa's bedroom. It was next to mine to the left.

I knocked on her door before entering. She was lying on her bed the way I was a minute ago. She raised her head towards me due to the sound of my footsteps.

"I miss Mom and Dad. Mostly Emily." Lilisa whispered.

"Me too." I whispered back

I walked up to her bed and sat down on the edge.

We were both confused about what was going on and about what the future may present us with.

" Do you think we're still in the same world or a totally different world?" I asked

" I really don't know." Lilisa answered

I sighed, standing up. My sister gave me a confused look.

"I'm just going to go and explore this place, wanna come with?" I answered her look.

"Yep!"

We both headed out the door, we were in a corridor. I just noticed that this place had many corridors. We walked further into the corridor,there were many doors aligned on the sides. Walking further we both stopped, obviously it seemed to be just corridors to entertain our imagination.

"Looking for someone?" a familiar voice questioned behind us, causing us to jump in surprise.

Captain Lark was standing behind us with amusement flickering in his eyes.

"Yes, we were...um...looking for you." I answered as quick as I could.

"Really, and may I ask why?" Captain Lark questioned.

"We were thinking perhaps you could lend us some clothes because apparently we don't have any." It was Lilisa who answered the question probably aware of my lack of imagination.

"You have clothes in the closets in your rooms." Captain Lark stated blankly with amusement yet again flickering in his eyes.

Uh oh, we both thought.

"Oh, we didn't know that, stupid us. So I guess we'll see you at dinner?" I asked

"Yes.You can call for me when you're done changing. I'll be in the room opposite yours. We can go to the dinner hall together. We later have to discuss your roles." He explained while sending a polite smile our way.

"Okay, thank you. We'll go to our rooms now. Thank you." Lilisa politely excused us from the awkward moment. We walked past Captain Lark to get to our rooms.

It was really embarrassing that there were clothes in our closest which we didn't decide to look through and so we were kind of caught in the deed, but it wasn't wrong what we did. We're both confused as to what is happening.

Hopefully after dinner we will get an explanation on what is going on and what are our roles.
