I could feel his penetrating gaze boring into my skin, burning where they looked
I struggled to keep my eyes ahead
His presence was suffocating
He was so...there
No mind to the other twenty five kids in the room because it was as though him and me were the only two
I shook my head, my attention going back to the teacher
Aiden could go f himself for all I care
My eyes wandered over to the clock as it ticked and ticked ominously
Each one bringing closer to what seems could be a terrible fate: having Aiden less than ten feet close to me
One more minute left
My hands wrapped around my binder, bringing close to my chest
Tick
Tock
Tick
Tock
This pattern went on, heightening my anxiety
I didn't try to hide my discontent as the seconds dragged on, a scowl took over my face
Tick
Tock
The bell rang and like a jack in the box I sprang up from my seat and ran out the room, possibly leaving a trail of dust and rubber in my path
It was no doubt they all watched me leave thinking 'what's wrong with her?'
But last I was concerned, they don't matter
I slowed my pace when I was a respectable distance away and the worst was surely behind me
The gym doors were wide open giving a welcoming feel to the room although this is where I struggle the most
Nothing said sweat, tears and in rare moments blood better than kickboxing
Upon entering, a thick mist of sweat seemed to immediately surround me and the light coming from the huge gated windows blinded me
My right arm shielded my vision and I blindly guided myself to the bleachers, thankfully not bumping into anyone or anything for that matter
"Why do you always bring your binder?" Someone said
I let the said binder fall onto a seat and looked up
The boy who spoke was a senior, brown hair, brown eyes, pretty average features
He seemed a good enough guy but I've been warned about the seniors and their intentions
"All seniors want is the frickle frackle" -Trent voice echoed in my head
In response to the senior I shrugged and walked away going towards the dreaded locker rooms
My chest rose up and down, my breath still quick from seeing Aiden. As expected, the girls were all changing without a care. I pretend to fiddle with my gym locker, my clammy hands grabbed the door and pretended to struggle
When half of them left, and the other half were changing without sparing me a second glance I reached down. I took my time untying my left shoe, then my right
Two girls left
My pants came off, two other girls left, three more to go
The soft boxing shorts slid up my legs as I turned to face the corner
All of the girls left had finished changing, that didnt mean they left, instead they leaned against the lockers and started chatting happily
My throat grew dry as I picked up the gym T-shirt from my bag
With it in hand I walked over to a corner again
My ears remained trained on the girls
Can they just leave ?
The door opened then shut as the talking ceased
My shoulders sagged in relief, and for the first time since I got into the school, I relaxed
I changed quickly and hurried into the gym
From across, Gabriel gave me a nod and I did one in return
"Ok partner up" the gym teacher said
My immediate reaction was to go to Gabriel and by the way he started to walk to me, he was thinking the same thing
Then he was hidden behind someone, a girl more specifically
Blonde hair, a bit on the chunky side, and shorten than me
She took a step forward and hugged him
Literally out of nowhere!!! Who is this godforsaken woman?
Didn't she know Gabriel doesn't like hugs?
Well she's in for a surprise
A smug smile appeared on my face, I could already imagine him pushing her away in disgu-he wrapped his arms around her waist and brung her even closer
Well shit
