Seventeen

goodnight moon

3:10pm Friday

We pull up to the hotel & park the car next to Jodi's. We hop out & grab all our stuff & head on in to check in.
"My butt hurts so bad, what the hell," I complain. Jodi laughs at me, "Wouldn't be a first time," my eyes widen at her. "JODI OH MY GAWD!!" Ty was laughing so hard. I just put my pouty face on & walked faster into the hotel. Drew starts walking up to us, "Tyler I didn't know you booked the Queen Suite?!" Ty shrugged his shoulders, "Well i thought it would be better to have us all together instead of separate hotel rooms." Jodi looked at him blushing. While I on the other hand, was rolling my eyes. Great so much for keeping my distance from Drew.

After taking the elevator up to the top floor, we walked inside, my jaw hit the floor. The room had a kitchen, living space, 2 bathrooms & 2 bedrooms, a balcony view from both bedrooms & huge tv's. "TYLER!!!" Everyone screamed, & tackled him for a hug. He looked at us with amusement, "My god guys, it's just a room. I had a bigger hotel room when I went to Hawaii last winter break, it's nothing special." I rolled my eyes, "Okay big shot," I laughed at him. Jodi & I headed to our room on the very end of the hallway. It was so beautiful. White everything. Drapes, bed spread, carpet... oh my. The furniture was a cherry wood color & there was a monster flat screen hanging on the wall. We unpacked & changed into some P.J's, then proceeding to the boys room. I of course knocked bc last time I didn't ... well that's a story for another time. Anyways, we heard Ty say "Come in," so we went in.

Their room was practically the same, but the decor color was a light blue. I sat on the bed cross crossed, while Jodi just flung herself into the bed all sprawled out. I laughed at her & nudged her. Drew spoke up, "So what are we doing tonight ladies?" I looked at Jodi & she smirked. I knew what she was thinking... "MOVIE NIGHT!!" We laughed & the boys agreed. Then put their comfy clothes on, and headed to the living room. Ty flipped on the tv & exclaimed "They already have Netflix installed on here! OH HELL YES I FOUND THE PERFECT MOVIE!" I look from the kitchen to see "Poltergeist" written across the screen. I screech, "MORE LIKE HELL NO! I am not watching that crap! I hate scary movies you know that." Ty laughs & says too bad. I stick my tongue out at him. I grab a tub of ice cream & a blanket to prepare myself for the movie. I seriously hate them. last time I tried watching one, I fell off the couch & ran out of the house screaming so... you can see where this is going. I plop down on the end of the couch, wrapping myself up in the blanket with the tub of ice cream in my lap. Jodi & Tyler sit on the opposite end, leaving Drew to sit next to me. Damnit.

5:15pm Friday

Not even 20 minutes into the movie, some creepy shit happens & im already covering my eyes. Drew chuckles at me, "Nikki, this part isn't even scary. Nothing happens-," I cut him off. "WHEN THERE IS CREEPY MUSIC THAT IS THE SIGNAL FOR ME TO HIDE MY EYES! So don't try & tell me nothing happens, something always happens." I hold the blanket over my eyes, hearing the music pick up, then it stops. I peek maybe half an eye out & see something jump out. I scream & duck back into the blanket shaking. God damn you Tyler. I try to watch the movie again & of course 2 minutes later there is a clown. I had already put my ice cream on the table next to me, so I had enough time to run when needed & that was the time. I jumped up & ran into my room slamming the door. I do a ninja move right into my bed & crawl under the covers. But momentarily I hear a faint knock on my door, "Yeah, yeah come in," I shove popcorn into my mouth as I see a messy haired silhouette peek in the door frame. "You good?" Drew chuckled, & I rolled my eyes, "Yes ding dong, i just didn't wanna watch it." I stuffed another mouthful of salty goodness into my mouth, "So now your watching.." Drew squints at the tv, "Friends?" I nod my head, "Duh, it's my favorite show. It's the episode where Chandler asks Monica to marry him, well kinda," I giggle. He then proceeds in the room, but leaves the door half open (thank god) & sits down on the bed. I glanced his way gesturing the popcorn to him, & he grabbed a hardy handful. We sat quietly watching the show & going through a few bags of popcorn in the process of doing so.

Time flies, & suddenly it's 2am & we're still watching Friends. Except now, we're side by side & sort of sharing the blanket, but it's mostly me using it because i get cold super easy. Periodically he'd look at me & i'd catch him, which would lead to a flustered rat & a smiling idiot (i'm sure you know who's who).
"What time is it?" Drew yawned, & looked over at me, "2:10." I replied, catching his yawn & stretching. "I mean I'd just crash here, but idk if Jodi's gonna come to bed or not," Drew smirked & scratched his head. I rolled my eyes, "I'll probably catch her sneaking in here soon enough, thinking i'll be totally asleep & unaware she didn't come in here last night." Drew & i chuckled, "Well, I'll just go on the couch just to be safe. Don't want it to be me walking in on them this time," I giggled & saw Drew get up for the door. He turned to me before he snuck out the door, "Goodnight Nikki," I smiled slightly, "Goodnight Drew." He closed the door to a crack, & I looked out the big, french doors leading out to the balcony, to stare at the moon. & with a final glance, my eyes drifted closed.
