*Hayden's POV*

The movie was great and I'm happy I finally got to do something like this with Tyler.

"Did you have fun tonight?" He asks me as we get into his car.

"Yes. Thank you for this."

"No need to thank me, it was just a movie."

"Shut up and accept my gratitude." I tease.

He smiles and I notice the usual flutter of my heart isn't there.

"Let's get you home now. I don't need your parents questioning me."

We went to the latest show possible, which was 9:30, and the movie was 2 and a half hours long.

Before that, we had dinner together.

"Okay."

We talk about school and Tyler tells me about the football game in a few weeks.

Of course I already knew about it.

Everyone knew about it.

He'll be on the field so I can't really accompany him, but I promised to come.

"See you tomorrow." Tyler says, before kissing me.

"See you." I say, when we pull away and I get out of the car.

I use my key to get in and quietly make my way to the stairs, being careful not to wake my parents.

To my surprise though, my mom is in the kitchen.

"Hi sweetie! Have fun?" She asks me.

"Hey! Yeah, it was great. What are you doing up so late?"

"I was just working on completing the forms for my newest clients."

My mom was a real estate agent.

A good one, at that.

"Oh, okay. Good luck."

"Thank you."

I make my way to my room, and slump down onto my bed, suddenly realising how tired I am.

But of course, I'm not gunna sleep in what I'm currently wearing, which is a pair of high waisted denim shorts and a long sleeved crop top.

I get up and change into a pair of old boho pants and a t shirt.

Now, I get into bed once again after turning off the lights, and give into my fatigue.

I fall asleep moments later.

-----

I despise the sound of my iPhone ringtone, signalling me to wake up.

But alas, time goes on, and I don't have any to waste.

I do my usual morning routine and make myself a cup of coffee once I'm downstairs.

Along with that, I have some toast.

"I'm leaving now!" I call out to whoever could have been within earshot.

Closing the door behind me, I get into my car and start driving to school.

I'm almost halfway there, when I get a text.

I wait until I'm at a red light to check it.

Once I take out my phone, I see the message is from Ally.

Can you give me ride? :))

This doesn't surprise me in the least bit, so I simply take a U-turn and head back into the direction I was coming from.

After some left and rights, I'm at Ally's place within 5 minutes.

I honk the horn and she appears in the doorway a second later.

She smiles at the sight of me and gets into the passenger seat.

"Thanks." She says, as soon as she's in.

"No problem. I always leave early anyways." I say.

"For that, I am grateful."

"You should stop waking up so late."

"I need my sleep."

"You would think that 10 hours would be enough." I tease.

"Shut up and drive." She tells me with a smile.

I do as told, and we start heading to school.

"So how was last night? With Tyler?" Ally asks me.

"It was nice. I feel like we never do normal couple things."

"I think that's all you do."

"Well either way, it was nice."

"Good. So you two are going strong?"

"Yup." I say happily.

"That's great. Though I have to say, I'm kinda surprised."

"What? Why?" I ask, concerned she knows something I don't.

"You two are so alike! I thought you'd be annoyed of each other by now."

I laugh.

"Me and you are very different." I say.

"Exactly! That's why we go so well together! You keep me out of trouble, I keep you entertained."

"Fair enough. But I'm not worried. Me and Tyler won't be breaking up any time soon. At least, I hope not."

We pull into the parking lot a second later, and we part ways.

Missed you this morning :(

I get a message from Tyler just as the bell rings.

I was giving Ally a ride

Oh, okay. See you at lunch?

Definitely :)

At that, I put my phone away and rush to my locker.
