"We need to watch Wedding crashers, It's my all time favourite movie" Caroline says excited

"Mine too" I tell her, she laughs

"I've never seen it" Riley says, So we put it on.  It's been an hours since Mabel left us, and we're watching Wedding crashers. When the boobs pop onto the screen, It's awkward to say the least. Caroline laughs loudly, and I follow along, I cant believe this is one of our favourites.

"I don't understand whats how they can get in the weddings?" Riley says confused, Caroline sighs because we've been explaining the whole movie to her.

"Riley, just watch" Caroline says stuffing popcorn in her mouth, Riley sighs, but doesn't say anything. Lucas stares at me, but I try to ignore his deep stare. I want to look, really I do, but I don't want to talk, I don't know how to feel, and what to do.

"I want more popcorn" Caroline says extending her bowl to Lucas who glares at her.

"Well, you have feet" Lucas says, I grab the bowl, and head to the kitchen.

"Wow, she's your guest you idiot" Caroline says angrily, Lucas mumbles something but I just put the popcorn in the microwave, and wait. As I'm waiting, I cant help but think about Riley, Lucas, and our situation. I like Lucas, I really do, but Riley's my best friends, and I cant betray her.

" You need help?" Lucas asks breaking me from my inner turmoil. I shrug, and wrap my arms around my waist.

"Listen, Maya, Can we please talk?" he kwhispers, I don't answer him right away, I don't know what to say.

"Lucas, not now" I tell him looking at the clock, this is the longest three minutes of my life.

"Why!?" he asks walking closer

"Everyones in the other room, and I don't want to" I say uncrossing, and recrossing my arms.

"Maya, we have to talk, and no matter how much you try to avoid it, I'm not going to let it go" he says, I want to reply, but the microwave beeps, breaking our eye contact. We go back, and I hand the popcorn to Caroline who's laughing hysterically. I think I might of fallen asleep before the movie ended because all I can remember is the part where they found out they weren't who they said they were, and then I was shaken awake by Caroline.

"What?!" I ask yawning

"You can't sleep, this is supposed to be fun, come on truth or dare" she says clapping her hands together. I get up slowly, waves of exhaustion float over me.

"Okay, I'll go first someone ask me a question" she says excitedly

"Okay truth or dare?" Riley asked enthused, actually looking like her herself again.

"Dare duh" she says obviously

"Okay, I dare you to tell us your biggest regret." She says leaning closer. Caroline thinks for a while her hand on her chin.

"Okay, well when I was thirteen and Lucas way eight. Well, I kind of snuck out for the first time, and went to a high school party. While I was there I kind of liked this guy a lot. We went to a gas station, and he told me to go in and steal something. I thought he would see me as older, cooler, but I regret it. So I went in, and I thought I should start small so I stole a packet of gum, and that's my biggest regret is falling into peer pressure like that." She says staring at her chipped blue nails. I rub her back to try and consol her, and she gives me a small smile. 

"Okay, my turn" she says trying to change the subject. 

"Okay, Maya truth or dare?" She asks her hands rubbing together like an evil villain.

"Truth" I say wimping out she laughs

"Who's the guys you like?" She asks, I look at her shocked.

"What? I don't like anyone!" I say sitting straighter.

"Come on we all know you do, who's the guys" she says wiggling her eyebrows, making Riley laugh.

"Ugh, if I was being honest I like Sam" I lie completely avoiding eye contact to Lucas.

"Good, progress" she says. I look over at Lucas quickly, he's staring off distant.

"Okay, Lucas truth or dare?" I ask him, he looks shocked.

"Dare" he says clearing his voice

"Owe big man" Caroline mocks, he sticks his tongue out.

"You guys are so childish" I tell them, they both shrug in unison.

"I dare you to kiss Riley" I say, everyone stares at me shocked. Lucas practically glares at me.

"Come on" I say, the whole room is silent. Lucas looks at me for a long time before he gets up. My stomach twists as he gets closer, but my face is impassive. He leans in, and it's taking all my willpower not to stop this, and the fact that this happened because of me makes me sick. He kisses her on the cheek, and the breath I've been holding in leaks out. He looks at me angrily as he sits back down. Caroline changes the subject, but the mood is awkward and tension filled.

"Okay go Lucas" Caroline says eating popcorn. He nods he thinks before he asks someone.

"Zay, Truth or dare?" He asks and for some reason i know this isn't gonna go well.

"I want to say truth but I know you guys will make fun of me so dare" he says crossing his arms, and making all of us laugh.

"Okay I dare you to kiss Maya" he says his voice hard and emotionless.

"Dude I don't know" he says giving Lucas a weird look, but Lucas just nods. Zay comes closer and my heart starts to beat, should I let him or no? He kisses me, on the cheek and relief washes over me. I smile at him, and he winks.

"Okay Zay" Caroline says covering her bare legs with a wool blanket.

"Riley, riles truth or dare?" He asks looking at her intently she smiles.

"Ugh I'll chose dare" she says sitting straighter.

"Okay I dare you to tell us a secret" he says a smirk on his face

"Ugh okay, um well I don't really have secrets" she says leaning into the chair.

"Okay I know, and when I tell you guys, you can't judge. I kind of made out with Adam at their pool party" she says apprehensively making my jaw drop to the floor!
