Going down

"Your wife, she's fine, her pericardium was leaking fluid into her lungs, causing her to loose consciousness, but we repaired it. She's in recovery right now, she's going to be run down for quite sometime, and we would like to keep her over night." The doctor says, and all of us let out breathes we were holding in. Mabel's fine, she's going to be okay, and that's all that matters. I stare at Luca , who's smile could cure cancer, he lifts me, hugging me tightly, I return the hug, and he doesn't let go.

"You guys are welcome to see her, she is pretty groggy, and she should get her rest" The doctor continues a smile on her face. Lucas Finally Let's me down, his hands still locked on my waist, a huge smile on his face that makes my day,and his beautiful green eyes watering. I reach up, and wipe away the tear that was leaking down his cheek. He grabs my hand, and stares at me, so intently goosebumps break out onto my skin, and I freeze. Bart's already gone to see Mabel, so it's just us, and the people in the hallway.

'Thank you" He says taking me by surprise

'No problem, I am a problem solver" I joke trying to lighten the mood, but he looks serious

"You really helped me Maya, you were the one who calmed me down, you were there when I needed you the most, you didn't try to make things okay, you were just there. I love you Maya hart, I really do" He says, and my heart stops, no ones ever said that to me, and it makes my heart soar. I hear someone behind us gasp, we both turn, and everyones looking at us including Riley. She stares between us her eyes watering, and her mouth now touching the floor.

"Riley" I say, she nows stares at me, her stare is cold, and unforgiving.

"Riley" Lucas says, but her eyes are glued to mine.

"You don't understand" I say stepping closer,

"Trust me I do, you betrayed me" she says, tears streaming down her face, and I know there are tears running down my face

"We were going to tell you, It was complicated" I say hoping she understands.

"What you couldn't get your own so you went after my sloppy seconds" she says, my heart hurts, but I let her continue

"That's pathetic Maya really, first you include yourself in my family because your dad left you, and your moms a dead beat, and now you can't find someone for yourself you take Lucas, you just want my life, and that truly pathetic" She snarls, and my mouth drops open this isn't Riley.

"That's enough Riley" Lucas defends, but I give him a look telling him to step back. Caroline, Zay, and Farkle are watching us, their eyes wide, and their mouths open.

"Ha, can't even defend yourself, your tuff Maya, thats who you are isn't it, No I forgot your just a pathetic little girl, who's dad left her because he doesn't love her" she says, and I freeze my blood turns cold, and my stomach drops. She smacks me next, her long fingers leaving an imprint, but that doesn't compare to the hurt I felt a minute ago. I look at her, but I don't see my best friend, I see a stranger, and that hurts me the most.

"Riley!" Lucas says stepping in between us, her gaze now lands on him, and it changes

"Why her?" she asks the anger melting off her face, and her face changes to heartbreak, in it's purest form, thus breaking my heart into a million pieces

"I love her" is all he says, and strangled sobs emanate through her.

"Why" she screams, I flinch, but Lucas stays calm, his face calm, and collected

"Because, she makes me feel something I've never felt before, I can't explain it, and It docent matter" Lucas says his voice hoarse, I look up, and tears are streaming down her face.

"Maya Hart" I hear someone says, we all turn, and a nurse is calling my name.

"That's me" I say quietly, and the nurse strolls up to me, a clipboard in hand.

"We have your results" she says a grim smile on her face.

"What results" Lucas ask, worry, and confusion all over his face.

"Lucas, I'm late" I say my body tensing, he still looks confused

"I haven't gotten my period in a while, and I'm usually regular, so I took a test, and it said I was pregnant, False positives happen, so I wanted to go to the doctors, but your mom collapsed, and I needed to know so I just did it" I say quickly, I watch his face turn from confusion to realization, and then to a weird expression I've never seen him make.

"When, you were with me the whole time" he says running his hands through his hair roughly

"You were with your dad, and I needed to know" I reply tears making there way onto my face, he steps closer, his eyes brimming with tears

"Your pregnant?!" he ask, taking my hands, and I look at the nurse, who looks uncomfortable

"Maya, your test came back.........
