Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
I forgot to guard my heart,
because of you.
I wore it on my sleeves for you.
My heart ached for you.
I hate being away from you.
But I smile and tell myself I'm okay.
I refuse to allow you or anyone to see me weak,
because I walked away.
Because I will never again allow any man to hurt me.
Because I am strong even if I'm weak,
And I refuse to let you break me.
