Ren's POV

"La la la la la la la LA!!!" screamed Jonghyun at the top of his lungs. Mr. Shin cringed as Jonghyun reached the highest note.

Right now, we were in vocal lessons. We finally found a room of our own a few weeks ago, and after working on our voices for some time, I believe we've improved...a bit. But that's not really what I'm all concerned about. What I'm kind of worried about is that the Hello Venus trainees (the new girl group trainees that we met a few days before) are in the next room.

"Jonghyun, that last note...." Mr. Shin searched for the right word, "needs a bit of ...um... working on."

"Ehhh?! Dang it! I thought I finally got it!" Jonghyun sighed.

While Jonghyun walked off to a corner of the room to practice, Mr. Shin turned to Minhyun.

"Okay, now let's see how you're doing," Mr. Shin smiled. Minhyun grimaced and went through the same scale as Jonghyun, and ended up getting sent to another corner of the room. When Mr. Shin turned to Baekho and Aaron to do the same, Aaron got sent to the third corner, while Baekho nailed it.

"YAY!!! I DID IT!!!" Baekho celebrated, high-fiving me.

"Good, now I want you to work on HOLDING the notes. Try holding them up to at least three seconds," Mr. Shin challenged, "But you have to stay the same volume."

"Arraso," Baekho sighed, then before Mr. Shin could even tell him to go to the fourth corner, Baekho walked off.

"Okay, Minki. It's your turn," Mr. Shin turned to me.

Sighing, I went to work on my scales.

"Hm...better. The lowest note isn't quite right, but we'll work on it. Since your voice is so strange, I wanted to try something," Mr. Shin said, pulling out his Iphone from his pocket. "You know IU's song, "Good Day"?"

I nodded.

"Try to mimic this part of the song," Mr. Shin suggested, fast forwarding to the middle, where IU does her eight freaking high notes.

"Uh....I don't think I can do that," I answered.

"Try," Mr. Shin urged me on. So I tried, and I ended up stopping on the first note.

"OOooookay," Mr. Shin grimaced,"I guess we'll work on that too. What time is it?"

I looked at my watch, "7:15."

"Okay, guys!! We're taking a break! Come back here in ten minutes," Mr. Shin notified the rest of us. Thank goodness, I needed to use the bathroom anyways!!

Taking off, I noticed that the door to the Hello Venus' trainees' room was open too. Are they on break, too? Shrugging, I dismissed the thought and found the bathrooms.

Which bathroom to choose? The girls' or the guys'?

Looking around, I noticed no one was here, so I shrugged and went into the guy's bathroom. Surprisingly, the boys' bathroom wasn't much different from the girls'. Luckily there was no one in there, so I chose a stall and did my business.

Jonghyun's POV

"LALALALALALALA!!!" I tried to get the note right. Nursing my throat, I wondered when this torture would be over.

As if by magic, Mr. Shin announced, "Okay, guys!! We're taking a break! Come back here in ten minutes."

Everyone left, probably because they didn't want to stay in the torture chamber. I glanced over at the Hello Venus trainees' room. Their door was open too. Awww, I really wanted to hear them sing.

"Pssst! Jonghyun!" someone whispered from around the corner. Curious, I tracked down the source.

It was Yooyoung. She was looking around for someone (I'm guessing Minhyun).

"Did you call for me?" I asked, confused.

"Yeah! I need to tell you something! Is anyone else around here?"

I checked behind me, and not one was there. Everyone had gone the other way.

"Well...I want to talk to you about Ren," she whispered.

From what I've heard from Ren, Yooyoung's an annoying b*tch. I can't see why, it's just that she constantly goes around asking for Minhyun. So, her asking about Ren is a first. Maybe she's interested in Ren, too? Dude...that would be just WAAAAAY TOO FUNNY!!!

"Yeah?" I answered.

"Well, did you know someone named Minki?" Yooyoung asked.

"Isn't that Ren's real name?" Why is she asking about Minki like she's a different person from Ren?

"Well, at school, people said Minki was Ren's twin sister's name," she said slowly, as if waiting for me to stumble onto some epiphany.

"Aaaand?" I stared at her.

"But didn't you just say Minki is a guy, because Minki is Ren?"

"Yeah?" Uh oh...I think I know what she's hinting at.

"Don't you think it's strange? That maybe Ren is actually A GIRL?!"

"What?!" I heard a yelp behind me coming from the bathrooms. Ren was standing behind us, frozen and pale.

"You think you can hide it, Minki? You think you can hide that you're a girl, despite how flat you are?" Yooyoung smirked at Ren, puffing out her chest to make her small chest bigger.

"Yah! Don't talk to Minki that way! I knew all along!" I defended Ren. Ren was right; this girl was one h*ll of an a$$.

"Y-You knew?!" Ren squeaked.

"It's okay. I didn't tell anyone. It was obvious you didn't want anyone to know," I blurted, "Plus, I wouldn't have found out unless I hadn't dragged you across the floor. So it's all okay."

"Great, so the plan didn't work. Time for plan B, " Yooyoung hissed under her breath, so softly that I could barely whisper.

Ren's POV

"REN! Do you like Minhyun?!" Yooyoung glared at me.

"Yeah? It's not as if I hate him," I answered, thinking of Minhyun as a friend. What was this girl blabbering about? Oh wait...I shouldn't have answered like that. Now she's definitely going to hate me and ruin my life! Yooyoung glared at me even harder, and if looks could kill, then I would've died and been sent to the boss level of hell right now.

"You...You stay away from Minhyun! You hear? And if I see you hanging around him, at school, OR ANYWHERE, I will tell EVERYONE that you're a girl, and a huge scandal will erupt, and none of the Nu'est trainees will probably be able to debut," Yooyoung threatened.

"Wait...but wouldn't that mean that you won't ever see Minhyun again?" I asked.

"I'll find a way," Yooyoung smirked.
