Ren's POV
I looked at Zelo slowly, and tried to smile...even though I was totally horrified. How come Zelo always shows up at the worst places?! My chest started to thump...quickly. This happens way too much around Zelo, now. What the heck is happening to me?!
"You're Zelo, right? Strange that you'd be here too..." I muttered. Jonghyun looked at me, confused. Then I remembered Jonghyun ALSO knew Zelo too!! SHOOT!!! That means I can blow my cover, TWICE!!
"Wait, why are you acting like that, M-" Jonghyun started.
"Jonghyun! What are you mumbling about? Do you need to ask me something?" I tried to signal him to shut up. Luckily, he was pretty sharp himself and shut up. It's a wonder how he didn't find out I was a girl already.
"Uhm...Mr. Shin-shii, are we practicing with B.A.P?" Baekho asked.
"No. We're going to practice on the other side of the room. We're not going to stay here long, since this is your fist day. I'm just going to see how well you know your pitches and what your range is," Mr. Shin explained, "And make sure to thank B.A.P for sharing the same room."
We bowed and gave our thanks.
"THANK YOU!!" Baekho grinned, almost screaming.
"Uh, your welcome," Youngjae answered back.
"What was that about?" Jonghyun whispered to me.
"I'll explain later," I waved him off. Meanwhile, Minhyun was panicking next to me.
"Holy crap, holy crap, holy crap...we're so dead," he muttered.
"Calm down," I shushed him. He gulped and stayed quiet. I could feel Zelo's penetrating gaze digging into my back, and I wanted to shrink away so badly.
Gathering on the other side, we tried to get as far as possible, almost to the point of squishing ourselves along the wall. Howls and hoots erupted from the B.A.P group on the other side of the room, scaring us.
"They're scary," Baekho whimpered.
"Man up!" Aaron encouraged him, punching him lightly on the shoulder.
"Dude, who knew we'd run into Zelo of all places here," Jonghyun whispered to me.
"Listen up! It's obvious you guys want to get out of here quickly. I guess it's because you feel uncomfortable with your untrained voices, but here, we'll train you untill you reach perfection! So if you want to get out of here faster, you better listen to me!" Mr. Shin tried to get our attention.
"What do we need to do?" Minhyun asked.
"First, you. What's your name?"
"Uh...Minhyun?"
"Okay, so I want you to try to copy my pitches," Mr. Shin asked, then started vocalizing a low note, at which Minhyun copied perfectly. They kept on going higher until Minhyun's voice finally cracked. Mr. Shin wrote down some notes and turned to me.
"What's your name?"
"Ren."
Mr. Shin looked at me closely. "Are you Korean?"
"Yes..." I muttered.
"Okay then. Same thing as Minhyun." Then he started with the low note.
"AH," he sang in a bass.
"Uh..Ah? Eh? OOO?" I tried, but no matter what, I couldn't reach that stupid low note. It also didn't help that I was a girl.
"Um, okay. Next note," he tried again. It turned out I couldn't sing ANY of those low notes until fifteen notes later.
