{Your POV}
You groaned as you steadily awoke to the ice-cold tile concrete floor beneath your small figure, sitting up onto your knees. You stared past the iron bars keeping you captive, like some wild animal. You despised it, and now you felt like a cornered beast; nervous, scared, and fear of the unknown fate awaiting you making your spine tingle. You shivered, not just from the cold. There weren't many prisoners in here, but you could see different colored life forms in nearby cells. You were relieved a bit, knowing you weren't the only one. You had been captured by some strange men during the night while you were walking back home from your job. Despite your attempts to fight back and escape, you were knocked out with little to no trouble. In fact, the back of your neck was still sore from the blow.
"Hello? Where am I?" You shouted, hoping for an answer of some kind.
One of the other prisoners, a buff green alien with yellow markings and red eyes glared at you. "Shut up!" He hissed. "You're in the dungeon of Lord Frieza, the galactic war tyrant."
"Why am I here?" You demanded. "I don't know who Frieza is, and I didn't have anything against him until now!"
The alien shrugged. "Just so you know, a terrible fate waits for you, kid. I've seen prisoners come and go... and never come back," he said ominously.
"That's not making me feel better about this whole situation," you muttered.
"Well, that's not my job. No one here is going to coddle or protect you," the alien growled.
You scoffed. "Well, what am I even doing here?"
"Dunno," another alien from two cells down answered you. "I was taken because I was rebelling against Frieza. Most of us were."
"But you? We're not sure why you're here. But I wouldn't worry about that," the first alien said. "I'd be more concerned about staying alive than figuring out why you're here in the first place."
You groaned but before you could press these guys any further, the massive doors, the only entrance to the dungeon, opened. A fat pinkish alien with spikes slowly made his way down the corridor.
"That's Dodoria, one of Frieza's henchman. He serves right by the Lord's side, and he's got a nasty brutal temper. Do not say a word to him," the second prisoner whispered to you.
You didn't have the voice to try to whisper back. You were slightly imitated by this "pink rubber pig", as you would come to describe him. He strod down the hall and stopped at one prisoner's cell, an amphibious alien with pale purple skin.
"Don't be so glum, Pompei. You remember your rebel friend that was executed yesterday?" The fat pink henchman asked in a tone that disturbed you.
The alien known as Pompei nodded warily. The alien two cells down from you motioned to turn your head, as some of the other prisoners had done.
"Well, today's your day," Dodoria went on with a downright evil grin. He picked the unlucky Pompei off the ground and with one brutal hand, tore the amphibious alien's head off.
You looked away instantly, trying to shut the gorey image from your mind as Pompei's screams of agony played over and over in your mind. You could hear his flesh and neck rip and snap, a sound that would be mortifying to simple humans.
Dodoria lifted the head up, almost like a trophy and walked off with it. He disappeared from your sight and soon reappeared, carrying Pompei's corpse to that direction, leaving only a puddle of blood.
"That happens everyday here," the first alien growled. "You'll become desensitized to it eventually."
You shuddered once more as the heavy doors opened again, this time a much smaller alien stepped into the dungeon. Two shiny black horns protruded from his chestnut-shaped head and his three-toed feet hardly made a sound as he entered. Now every prisoner looked horrified, including the green and yellow alien with the red eyes. You noticed a long tail, formed in a perfect arc behind him, and his alluring red eyes staring straight ahead of him. You couldn't see why everyone seemed so terrified at the sight of him. Compared to the pink rubber pig, he seemed hardly a threat. He passed the cell where Pompei was once staying, grimacing at the messy puddle of blood. He continued heading down the hall, and then he saw you, lifting his gaze in silent confusion when his red eyes met your e/c ones. You froze. Was he another executioner, thinking about tearing your head off in the same manner? You held his gaze, not saying a word. You weren't that intimated by this guy, despite the cocky way he walked as if he owned the place. He locked eyes with you for a few more moments that seemed like hours before continuing his arrogant stride down the corridor.
