Three words changed it all

Meeting the team

Arielle's pov:
   I am really nervous. What if I don't make it? I ask myself. What if I do? I looked at my phone and checked one more time. Boy I hope they put the traveling team up. I think I did really good at try outs. I have a really good feeling about this year.  YES THEY PUT IT UP AND I MADE IT!! I knew I would do it!

I ran out of my room and told my parents. They were looking at the same thing as I was. They knew. They said congratulations and that the first practice is tonight at 6:00. I am so excited.
* skipped to 10 minutes before leaving for practice*

It is ten minutes before we leave to go to practice I am really excited to meet my new team. I don't know how they would feel about a girl being on the team.

We arrived at the field and I went straight to my new team. No one really seemed to notice me. The coach yelled out," everyone over here, near the batting cages please" and I ran over with my stuff. He announced," ok this is your new team. You will be playing with these people for two months. You better like them." We all laughed. He continued," the first thing we are going to do is say our names and something interesting about you."he pointed to different people and they said their names and what was fun about them. I listened. I really wanted them to like me and I really wanted to like them to.

I caught a little bit about them and who they were, but I was to busy starring at this one boy. He said his name was Zachary but he likes zach. The coach finally got to me and I said," hi my name is Arielle and something interesting about me is that I've been playing baseball since I could walk and it's been a big part of my life." I could hear everyone whispering around me as I spoke.

After I went we did our warm ups then got right into practice. I felt like the odd one out. Probably because I was. Being the only girl is tough. It's hard to make friends, have a buddy that will be your best friends. I managed to make one friend. His name was Jace. We talked for a while during warm ups then got to know each other more. He seemed cool so I decided he would be a good friend to have and I think he felt the same way.  I had finally made a friend. Something that I never thought would happen with this team. They all seemed to cool to hang out with me. Anyway, I feel like I'm going to have fun with this team.

NOTE: This is my first story so please don't judge. I was also in a rush so I promise the next chapter will be better. Please help me with my story. I would really appreciate it.
