Ciel gently tugged the blanket down enough to look into my eyes. He was so close that our foreheads were nearly touching.

I let out a small squeak as, now, our foreheads were touching!

"You don't seem too warm, so no fever," he pulled a few inches away, "But your face is even more red now than it was before."

He looked utterly confused, "Even your ears have turned red."

Ciel suddenly looked as though something had dawned on him, and he smirked.

"Alois Trancy, are you blushing?"

At that, I reddened more and once again pulled the blanket to completely cover my face.

"O-of course not, why would I?" I exclaimed defensively.

"That's what I'd like to know," he said, his voice dropping a few octaves and making me shiver - why - as I tried to retreat further into the wall.

I heard him chuckling, then suddenly felt him move away. I peeked out of the blanket to see him walking back to the bed. I let out a sigh of relief as I felt myself relax a little.

"I truly should be going to my own room now. . ." I spoke quietly.

"Hmm, if you really want to leave that badly. Though, I was going to allow you to stay in here." He said, feigning disappointment.

"I-I. . .what?" I managed to squeak out in response, "W-why?"

"You're afraid of the dark and of being alone, aren't you?" He spoke in a matter-of-fact tone, looking back at me over his shoulder, "I just figured I'd try to make it easier on you - help you out a little."

He looked straight ahead again and resumed his way to the bed. He sat at the edge then crossed his legs with both his hands perched on the edge of the bed, on either side of him, looking nonchalant. His nightshirt had risen a little higher on his thighs, exposing more of them to me.

He looked over at me, catching me staring at his thighs, and smirking, "But, if you would truly prefer your own room. . ." He shrugged, his voice, once again, feigning disappointment.

"Um. . .are you sure you want me in here?" I asked with a slightly shaking, high-pitched voice.

Pull yourself together, for crying out loud!

He chuckled, "Well, I'm fine with it, otherwise I wouldn't have offered."

"W-well. . .I suppose I could. . .?" I spoke, my voice raising embarrassingly in pitch.

He slid his hands a few inches further onto the bed, putting more weight on them, causing his shoulders to rise slightly. He leaned his head back a little, showing me his profile, and smirking while looking at me out of the corner of his eye.

"Wonderful," he spoke in a low voice.

My eyes trailed down to his thighs again, to see that the nightshirt had risen more due to him leaning back.

Mentally slapping myself, I snapped my eyes back up to Ciel's to see that he had turned his head slightly more to me, his smirk still firmly in place.

My heart can't take this!

Wait, I need clothes to sleep in.

"Ah, um, I should go get some clothes to sleep in, yes?"

At that moment, there was a knock on the door, "Young master, I have Lord Trancy's sleepwear."

Ciel looked towards the door, "Yes, come in, Sebastian," he then turned back back to me, giving me a smug look.
