Offroading!

I sat on my bed, having a three way conversation, over the phone, to EJ and Elena. They had this 'amazing' idea to take my Jeep, off roading. Through the forest! "Come on," EJ was urging, "it will be a blast, I swear." I rolled my eyes at the phone, "Yes, it will be a blast watching us all get killed, and my Jeep burnt to pieces." A sigh came from Elena as she said, "Oh, Katerina, I promise you, I know of a road where there are hardly trees!"

"Doesn't make a difference, it is a brand new car!" I almost yelled. I had started cleaning my room, leaving the phone on speaker. In frustration I threw a bra at the phone. "What was that noise?" EJ asked. I smirked and replied, "Oh, nothing!" I heard papers rustling and Elena spoke up again saying, "The chief of police is gone this week!" I shook my head, putting a pair of socks away, and asked, "So, what does that have to do with anything?!"

"Well silly we won't get in trouble bye the other officers! They don't notice and frankly don't care," Elena said, in excitement. "Elena, EJ wrap this through your head, under no cause will I go off roading in my new Jeep."

Here I was, going again my own word. I grabbed my keys and phone. I head out to the garage, pulling the Jeep out I waited for EJ and Elena to come. I was their genie pig. I leaned against my Jeep murmuring reassuring words as EJ pulled up with Elena in the passenger seat. EJ was so Lucky since he got his dad's sleek black Mercedes.

They came out of the car, grins showing clearly on their faces. "Wipe the grins off your faces, it is only a little joy ride," I sneered at them. They didn't notice the rudeness as they jumped into the car. EJ jumping into the passenger side and Elena into the back. I hit my head on the car and swung myself into the drivers' side.

Starting the car I said, "I swear if I get us killed my soul is blaming you!" I strapped myself in with the regular seatbelt and with the safety harness as well. EJ kissed my cheek and I shook my head. I pulled out of the driveway and listened to Elena's directions on how to get to the place. We reached where a trail led on endlessly with no trees.

I bit down on my lip and then revved forward. I was actually having an adrenaline rush. It went on for a while when suddenly a tree that had been knocked over appeared. I thrusted the stearing wheel to the right and plunged into what seemed like an endless maze of trees and bushes. I screamed, though I could hear both EJ and Elena laughing. Another tree that had fallen was in my way but somehow I had launched over it, landing safetly on the otherside.

I stomped on the breaks and turned off the engine. I leaned back against the seat, my chest was rising and falling quickly. I looked to EJ, whom was smirking, and I yelled at him, "Why the heck would you make me do that?! Are you feakin' insane?!" Breathing hard, I kicked the floor, and the Jeep lurched a little. I turned it back on and backed up a little.

I stopped it again and opened the door, thanking god I landed on grass. I felt sick, I was sweating, and the wet grass felt cool. "Is she okay?" I could hear Elena ask, though it sounded from a distance. "I think she has fear sickness or something," EJ tried to joke it off but I could hear the alarm in his voice. He bent down next to me, his warm hand resting on my leg. "Katerina, are you all right?" I took in a ragged breath and said softly, "I just feel a little queasy."

EJ helped me up and led me into the car, though Elena hopped into the passenger side. EJ took over the driving. I was not queasy, I felt, I didn't know how. EJ passed my house and headed to his I assumed. He stopped slowly and jumped out of the car. "Kat, are you all right?" Elena asked alarmed. I shook my head, knowing lying would get me know where. Considering that EJ was probably getting his father.

It hurt to sit up, but I got a glance at EJ's father, Dr. Knight. My door was flung open, the cool weather welcoming in my body. Dr. Knight examined me for a few minutes before he came to a conclusion. "Your rib is cracked, not too suriously, but um EJ do you mind driving to the hospital I don't have anything here to help."

Dr. Knight climbed into the car next to me and EJ drove us to the hospital. "What were you guys' doing anyways?" he asked. "Off roading," EJ answered simply. "I think my rib may have cracked when I jerked the car out of the way of a tree," I said, through a croaked voice. Dr. Knight mused this and replied, "It is possible, I agree." I sighed, though it pained me. I felt weird once we got to the hospital since, Dr. Knight actually carefully carried me through the hospital.

Dr. Knight wrapped something around my rib, and gave me some medicine to help. It felt slightly better, I could breathe better, though my mom was frantic when she found out. "We give you a car and you hurt yourself in it," she ranted, taking me home. I crossed my arms over themselves, sighing, and listened to her drag on.

EJ called me before i went to bed that night, apologizing for everything that had happened. Wishing he could go back in time and change the events. "I'm not dead," I joked. "I love you," he said, I smiled and replied, "I love you too, you meany." I hung up the phone and fell asleep.
