I yawned, flipping out of bed, wishing I could rest the rest of the day. I had a made a promise to my buds I wouldn't skip out on them for Katerina. Even though she was devastated with her friends, whom abandoned her when four creeper dudes tried hitting on them. Frankly, I found that absolutely cruel. I combed my hair back and used gel to stick it there. You see when I am with the guys, I am there British wing man. It surprised me how many girl fell for it, each and every time!
I laughed, remembering how a blond girl wouldn't stop following me around. I threw on a white t-shirt and a jacket. Completing the outfit with blue jeans, I stood in the front of a mirror and said, "Ello, mate." I chuckled at myself. I made my way downstairs and was rewarded a whistle by Anthony. I threw him a glare and said, "Bye, all."
Before anyone could protest, I made my way out the garage door. Grabbing my keys off the key the key hook, I unlocked my car. I rested my head on the steering-wheel for a moment, then started the engine. I opened the garage, then took off down the road. I enjoyed having a distance between neighbors, though my nearest neighbor was Katerina.
I pasted her house in a flash, looking up her driveway, I saw her, Arabella, and Nickolas playing catch with a volleyball. I smiled, at least I knew she wasn't alone. We were going to meet in Seattle, far but our cars could manage. Dominic and Tyler always rode in the same car, perhaps since they were step-brothers? Maybe because they only had one car? Both those reasons are true. Startling me, my phone rang. I looked to my hands free call system in my car and it said Incoming call from Dominic Rossetti. I've always loved Dominic's last name, Rossetti!
I pressed the answer key and said, "Hey, bro." Dominic's voice came through saying, "Hey dude, are you ahead of us?" I looked back and sure enough I saw there '99 blue Chevy truck behind me. "Yeah." I heard sounds like they were doing something then Tyler's voice said, "Nice, we will follow ya!" The first word that popped through my brain was STALKER, but all I did was chuckle at the thought. "Bro, what are you laughing at," Dominic asked, sounding annoyed. "Stalkers, how you guys are following me. Makes you guys my stalkers!"
I knew they'd get a laugh out of that one. "Man, dude, I don't understand how you would've come up with that," Tyler said. I chuckled, "I am a man, dude?" Tyler must have hit his head on the dashboard because he said, "OW! Yes, EJ you're a man, dude." I shook my hair, careful not to disturb the pound of hair gel I had placed in it. "Well, I will be your British man, dude." Tyler and Dominic were having too much of a blast, with this "man, dude" thing.
Katerina's ring tone was going off and I said, "Dudes, I need to go." The last thing I heard before I hung up was "MAN, DUDE!" I answered the call from Katerina and said, "Hey Little Dove." I heard a sound as if she fell and she stifled a laugh, "Hey EJ! Where are ya?" I shook my head and said, "Becoming Dominic and Tyler's British man, dude." Katerina busted out laughing at me and she said, "You are there British WHAT?" I laughed, resting my head on the steering-wheeling for a second, and then replied, "Their British man, dude. Duh, little dove." She mused this for a second and said, "Yeah, I am honestly horrified at the moment."
I saw a sign that said Seattle 10 miles and was relived to see it. "Well where are you?" she questioned again. "Oh, yeah sorry. Um, I am 10 miles from Seattle." The phone made a crackling noise and went dead. I prayed that she either hung up or we hit a dead zone. Mostly the first one.
I rode in silence, until I reached the sports store. I looked around and soon spotted Dominic and Tyler, having a play fight in front of their car. "Yo, dudes, come on. Stop fooling around," I called as I walked up to them. They were laughing and Dominic pushed Tyler down the lane. I shook my head. Dominic was about my height, had a muscle built, he had short cropped, blond hair. He had clear blue eyes. Tyler on the other hand was lanky, with straight brown hair, that fell to his chin. Also he had startling surprisingly brown eyes.
Dominic came charging at me and I side stepped him. He grunted and I used my British accent to say, "Eh, mate. You wanna have your British man, dude?" He nodded and we headed into the sports store, scouting for the cute sporty ladies. If Katerina knew I did this, wonder what she would think? I mean I am not doing this for me! Dominic pointed out a girl, about seventeen. She was average height, with blond hair that cascaded in curls down her back. She was looking at biking equipment. I nodded, making my way over to her.
Making my accent believable I said, "Ello, love. How are you this fine afternoon?" She turned to me and smiled, "Hello, my afternoon is splendid. What's your name?" I always used my middle name and I said, "Julian, and yours?" She smiled, flashing dazzling white teeth, "Nice to meet you Julian, my name is Rosaline." I smiled and then took her over to meet Dominic, they actually seemed to like each other.
I introduced Tyler to some sixteen year old named Isabelle. She was kind of short, with brown hair to her shoulders. I sat down against a try on shoe place, not interested in buying anything. I watched Dominic and Tyler flirt with the girls. Times like this, I always wished I had my little dove to hold in my arms. To protect her from boys like Tyler and Dominic. Not that they were bad but they weren't the nicest boys in the whole world.
After about two hours, it was about 3 in the afternoon and we left. Dominic and Tyler leaving with Rosaline and Isabelle's numbers. We were done for the day and after an arousing game of mess up EJ's hair, Dominic and Tyler were off. I walked off to my car and was rewarded by an awaiting Jason. I glowered at him and snarled, "What do you want?" He flagged me with two fingers, leading me towards the nearby forest.
I waited a second, then followed him. Jason was about 2 inches taller than me, but that matter did not frighten me. Once were pretty far in the forest, Jason stopped. Turning to me he said, "You know, we can do this the easy way or the hard way." I tilted my head to the side and asked, "When is there an easy way in a fight?" He smirked and replied, "Since I am a generous man." I wanted to laugh at that but held my ground, saying, "You know, I've never thought of you as generous. Possibly jerkish, stalker kind of man."
Without out any warning, Jason came at me, sending me flying through the air. I landed, sliding against the leaves. The air washed out of me and I pushed my hair out of the place. I ran at Jason, throwing him, his body hitting a tree. He fell to his feet, spitting hair out of his mouth. "You wanna play it that way, Knight?" I arched an eyebrow and said, "Try me Write."
We fought with our fists, I dodged most of his punches, then he lifted his leg up, causing me to fall to the ground, holding my tenders. I moved my feet, knocking Jason's out from under him. he fell with a thud. We rolled around on the ground and then suddenly Jason banged my head on something hard.
Black spots formed in my eyes, and before I knew it I was out, cold.
