"Are you nervous?" I asked Alex, sipping on my hot coffee.
I could hear him pacing the room behind me.
"Alex you'll wear a groove into the floor if you keep pacing." I teased.
"Oh hush, you don't have to go through a massive day of auditions and organising and-"
I cut him off, "Honey, your coffees getting cold."
"Right," he said turning and grabbing the mug from the table. He took a huge sip and put the mug back down, "so I have no idea how many people are going to show to audition."
"Well what do they have to do?" I asked him turning my chair.
"We're going to have them learn a short dance and they'll perform 60 seconds of a song for the casting team then they will perform a rap to me." He said taking a swig from his mug.
"When will you be home?" I asked him, still sipping the hot drink.
"I don't know honestly." He finished of the cup with a massive gulp and put it in the sink. "It depends on how many people show, after auditions I'm going to consult with the casting team to organise callbacks and give music for callbacks." He swung a backpack over his shoulder. "Okay I gotta go." He said.
I put my coffee down and got up, crossing the room and leaning down to kiss him. He melted into the kiss and rested his hands on my waist.
I only broke away because he had to go and I know how much this means to him. "I love you." He whispered breathlessly.
"I love you more." I replied. I kissed his forehead and put one hand on his cheek. "Good luck." I whispered.
He just smiled and walked out the door with a bounce to his step.
