I sat up in bed and patted the covers, trying to find the source of my obnoxious ringtone.

On this perfect day, nothings standing in my way!

I grabbed my phone and answered the call. "Hello?" I mumbled groggily.

"John! Quick!" Peggy sounded frantic, she screamed, "I need you in the hospital!"

My senses sharpened and I started to panic, "Wait, what?"

"God get down here," she yelled into the phone. The call ended but not before Peggy could scream again.

God, the baby was coming! It's not die for another three weeks! Alex isn't even home! I pushed aside my anger and grabbed my shoes and shoved my phone in my sweatpants pocket. I ran out of the apartment barefoot and onto the pavement outside. I hailed a cab quickly and yelled for him to get to the hospital. I shoved on my shoes in the cab and tossed a twenty at the driver, running out of the car and into the hospital.

A nurse looked at me worriedly, "Hello, sir can I help you?" She asked.

"Yes, yes I'm looking for Margarita Schuyler, she's in labor right now!"

The nurse looked at her computer screen. "Your relationship to Ms. Schuyler?"

I groaned, "Gah! It's my baby! She's mine and my husband's surrogate mother!" I yelled, I drew the attention of an elderly couple in the waiting room.

The old woman piped up as the nurse took even longer to tell me where Peggy was. "Let the boy go, he wants to see his kid being born!" She said exasperated with the nurse.

The nurse gave me a number and I took off towards the right room. I burst into the room to find Alex holding a baby wrapped in a white blanket. "Hey John," he said quietly.

"How did you?" I asked pointing at him.

"Peggy called." He said softly. "This one is Michael." He said handing me the tiny baby. I looked at the little boy in my arms, and I swear my heart melted a little.

"Alex take her," Peggy's voice was rough from screaming but at the same time it was still the soft voice I found comfort in.

Alex turned around holding another baby. "Woah, what happening here." I said.

"And this one is Emily." He said sheepishly.

"Twins?"
