"Yes, yes, I promise I will take good care of them," Peggy said while Michael and Emmy ran around Peggy's living room. The two of them jumped from the couch to the chair.
"Okay," Alex started, "Emmy, Mikey, stop jumping on the couch!" He called to the two of them. The three year olds scrambled off of the couch and stood on the floor.
"We weren't." Michael said quietly.
"Yeah okay, be good for Aunt Peggy." I said rolling my eyes.
"You two need to go," Peggy said pushing us out the door. "So go."
"Okay okay, we're going." Alex said grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the cab that was still sitting in the driveway.
We got in and headed towards Olive Garden for our first date in three years. Which is crazy but I was excited nonetheless. Even if it was just lunch and making plans for the twin's birthday party.
After lunch we stopped at the Chuck E. Cheese to see prices for parties. We decided that it was better to just bring the two of them here on our own instead of inviting their zero friends and the cast of the musical.
Alex and I went back to Peggy's house, where we found no one. No one was there.
"Where are our kids?" Alex asked, panicky.
"Where's Peggy?" I asked, also panicky.
