Chapter 33: The bloody shuriken

Speed's pov:

I managed to defeat Negamine, just like that time on the battle of the century. That was the time I lost my sister, I thought. I fought for her...... and this time, I fought for everyone, including... CC...

I suddenly snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a hiss. I turned to my right and saw CC trying to pick herself up. Then I suddenly remembered her eye had been hit by a shuriken!!

I quickly rushed to her, knelt down and asked, "CC...are you ok?"

My girlfriend was still covering her right eye with her bangs. "Yeah I am, it's just a cut."

I shook my head. "Pal, blood is flowing from your eye, look, it's even stained your bangs! You can't go on like this!"

"C'mon, it's just a cut, there's nothing wrong-"

I cut her off, "Charmaine...... I don't want you to die of blood loss or become blind......"

Just when I realised I had actually just called CC by her real name, I was stunned myself.

I quickly shook this off me and helped CC up. "Let's go and find Aqua. Maybe she can do something about it."

"Oh...ok then." she answered.

We quickly ran to Aqua, who seemed to have finally recovered from shock.
